Players should have determination, this should come naturally when you play such a game at that level. Why De Rossi and not the others that I dont know. But it is true that if they were all like De Rossi, we would be better to watch. The guy had a good game tonight and he gave 130%, the 30% that Totti was unable to give and show.
I m not blaming all on Totti but I m just saying that we have been dependant on him far too often but the time is gonna be over soon. Roma needs a replacement for him, a support for him, a true striker that can take off some pressure from him. This season is gonna be a nightmare I fear.

Taddei and Cassetti were a joke. Perrotta was OK but I would have preferred Guberti or even Vucinic.

Juve is quite a strong team. We're not even close.

I agree. I don't want Mancini back, but Quaresma would be very welcome. In a team which will rely heavily on wingers thisseason we have a posiiton that needs filling on the right.

It seems like Mancini wants to return, too, and is even willing to turn down a move to Genoa in order to come back. It all depends on Inter, I think, if they are willing to let him leave on loan considering they would still have to pick up most of his wages as we can't afford to pay it all. I don't feckin want Mancini back. Not that I don't overly dislike the fat fore-headed moany cnut, but we already have one player on loan from them, and i don't want another. Silly, perhaps, but I suppose beggars can't be choosers. But I doubt this 'good relationship' between our management and there's is born purely out of generosity for us being in a difficult financial situation and Moratti being nicey nice: Rosella has probably agreed to sell them De Rossi or something next summer.

Apparently there was an in the Olimpico last night after the game, with Rosella, Prade and Conti all present. This meeting was to discuss our mercato, and not, as reported (or guessed) by several sources, to discuss the future of Spalletti. Rosella could only stay for a few minutes as she had much more important things to be doing than trying to salvage something from our mercato summer, and remained in phone contact with Prade. This is quite typical of our management, leave everything to the last minute, do things half assed, and hope at the very last moment to secure a loan deal or a free signing or hope that someone else does us a favour. This is what Rosella and Prade had in mind all along, not spend a cent and leave it to the last day to try sign a player or two, and if not, well then I'm sure we'll here the usual shite about how the conditions weren't right or how we're fine as we are. One way or another this shit will end soon.

Like Tomasso said if Cassetti hadn't of made that howler and if Totti had of done what he would do 99 times out of a hundred and stuck that chance just before half-time away, things could of been different. He did get things wrong, no question, he set out his stall with the opposition too much in mind when he should of stuck to what we do best, or at least settle for something in between (say Guberti in for one of Taddei or Perrotta). Tomasso, what do you think, what were your thoughts on his starting line-up and formation? Would you agree with it?
