I'm too tired to bother going through all the details again of each failed take over bid.

Yes, of course it makes sense to suggest the legitimate business explanations for certain actions, as done by Gio, Marco, and Tommaso, but what's clear to me is there is more than just the hand of business involved and at my stage in life I'm not given to fantasy.

In order for la Sensi to have the sale of Roma continually blocked, and for her to continually succeed in concealing the club's finances, people are being manipulated. Unicredit for example who wouldn't even officially acknowledge Angelini at this later stage. Their action or other? Dismiss if you wish as hypothesis, my accusations of bribery, corruption, and the even more sinister intimidation factor, as hinted around by the American who tried to buy us in the lead up to the Christmas before last, then again later by Fioranelli's lawyer, but it must be remembered we are discussing Italian business affairs.

While I can understand the reasoning of Rosella fighting tooth and nail to keep the club, family inheritance is no justification for mis-management. However, we can take it as read that she won't mis-manage having the back pockets of her jeans bulging with club money if and when she relinquishes control.

I must add I am not overly impressed by the actions of our would-be buyers either and with all respect to Gio I include Angelini for stating his case in what looked like little better than a comic (it was La Zampa, right?) unless I am thinking of another publication. I hate to give Rosella credit for anything and in a roundabout way I don't think she's wrong to suggest Angelini hoped and possibly still hopes to bring the price down. What businessman wouldn't? But certainly not in the deliberate devaluation sense she meant. The Soros deal to me smacked of an opportunistic buy in at rock bottom and a quick sell on at a profit. He couldn't care less about Roma. Many have dismissed Fioranelli as a time waster. As for the American whose name I can't remember...it may be the Scandinavian forum that our Al Capone is with from which I actually quoted a number of posts back on XFF where they went into in quite some depth over the fact that the guy in question had been "muscled out" during his buy-in attempt! Of course, in those days, the Old Man was still alive...

Anyway, enough from me on sales that are only talk for the foreseeable future...except to add I too wonder what happenend to the idea of a specially appointed manager to conduct the club's affairs in August through a change of ownership!

Seeing Spalletti quoted tonight on Sky Italia depressed me. He spoke of a "sincere rapport" with Rosella and I'm guessing Marco must have seen the part where il mister went on to as good as say straight out our mercato is over as is! So much for his demands for a target man to lead our attack! And he talks of a sincere rapport with la Sensi? Just who or what is a Roma fan to believe at the moment regarding our club?

Tonight as Frenchy reminds us, we have a match to win. I'm quite sure the players will stay focused. They must be becoming quite used now to the soap opera sales saga!

Let me tell you something Carlo; Rosella Sensi is not qualified to clean the dirt from under Francesco Angelini's toenails. He is a seriously accomplished businessman and he certainly knows how to play the game in Italy. I did not read where she said he was trying to drive down the price but I trust you did read that comment. However, the statement demonstrates her complete ignorance in business matters. Roma stock jumped today because of Angelini's comments. So, if he were trying to drive down the price, he would have just kept his mouth shut and tried to make a move for Roma through his legal counsel. She makes this statement as the price of Roma stock was rising. I am not very good with numbers but if the price of the stock rises the more expensive it will be to buy the club. Right?
