i would think suazo would be a great fit for us both in terms of getting on the end of totti's passes with his pace but also in terms of stretching out the opposing team, particularly pinning back the opposing d-line and opening up the midfield a bit more as a result.

I looks like we have a deal for Burdisso. Now it is being reported that we are working out the contract detail and there will be no tranfer fee because Burdisso exercised his right of recission. On the heels of this news, Andreolli's agent claims that his client will be sent out on loan again. It also appears that we are trying to get both Suazo and Sorrentino as well.

Burdisso will start against Genoa.

Tom & Marco, nicely put! Suazo's speed can cause panic in an opposition defence! I'd be interested to see the stats on the penalty kicks he forced out of inexperienced defenders.

Gio, the Sorrentino bit is what I've been waiting for. We've always known we cannot depend on Artur and it's good to know Burdisso will play on Sunday for us!

Well, we haven't got Suazo yet...but if he does come to Roma let's for all our sakes hope I'm right in saying he can do a job for us!

But on the not good enough for Roma part, that would describe a few of our squad, Baptista for one. It couldn't make sense to hang on to him just because he can score the odd dramatc goal.

Sorry, Ed, but you are out on a limb defending him...how often have you yourself criticised his poor ball control in outfield play when trying to build an attack?

I'm not sure, Giacomo. For some strange reason I ended up watching a lot of Cagliari games in the second half of Suazo's last season with them and I thought he was a much better, more rounded player than he tended to get credit for. I know that when Inter signed him there was talk about his just being used on the counter, but I thought that was short-sighted. For Cagliari he created chances even when the opposition were penned back because his pace of the mark was so good and so he could be slipped in in tight situations too and I thought his play with his back to goal was pretty impressive too. He's a pretty powerful guy as well as a quick one. Perhaps that half season was the exception and he'll never hit such heights again, but I was pretty impressed by him.

Burdisso scares me. He's better than nothing though. I thought he'd rescinded his contract with Inter though and as such would not be on loan.
