Vieria has been pretty good in preseason and surprisingly he hasn't got himself injured yet so I think he will start in Cambiasso's position with Motta on the left and Muntari on the right,allowing Stankovic to slot in as the trequartista. And since we are relying on the passing game I don't think Zanetti can give that much while Vieria will be more suited.

Angry Mourinho accuses Lippi of disrespect

Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho accused Marcello Lippi of lacking respect on Tuesday after the Italy boss predicted his former club Juventus would win Serie A this season.

"It is the first time I read a national team coach, a person of great institutional responsibility, said the next championship will be won by a certain team, that is Juventus," Mourinho told Inter's in-house TV channel.

"Even if in his mind he wants this, I think just saying it is a lack of respect."

The intense rivalry of the two clubs has been especially strong since Inter were handed the 2006 crown after Juve were stripped of two titles and demoted to Serie B for their role in a match-fixing scandal.

Inter went on to win the next three Serie A titles too, last year under Mourinho. Lippi was taken aback by the Portuguese's reaction.

"I'm sorry if Mourinho has given this interpretation," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport's website. "It was simply a prediction, one of a thousand hypothesis that are made before the start of the championship."

Continuano le trattative sull’asse Milano-Roma. L’ultima idea dei giallorossi è quella di strappare tre giocatori al club di Massimo Moratti: Burdisso, Mancini e Suazo. L’ultima tentazione è l’honduregno. Il calciatore piace moltissimo a Luciano Spalletti e potrebbe giocare sia da esterno che da prima punta. Burdisso a titolo definitivo per 7 milioni di euro pagabili in due rate, Mancini in prestito, con l’ingaggio diviso a metà tra le parti, e scambio di maglia tra Suazo e Julio Baptista. Entrambi hanno uno stipendio intorno ai 3,5 milioni di euro, quindi l’operazione potrebbe andare a buon fine. Prendi tre paghi uno, ma dell’operazione sarebbe contenta anche l’Inter che cederebbe tre calciatori, non proprio amati da Josè Mourinho.

In attesa di Wesley Sneijder, l’Inter parlerà con il Genoa di Obinna, anche se il sogno rimane Ricardo Quaresma. Sul nigeriano anche il Parma.

Inter, c'è l'accordo con il Real Madrid per Sneijder.
Sembra fatta per Wesley Sneijder all'Inter: il Real Madrid ha deciso di tenersi l'altro olandese Robben, liberando quindi Sneijder (15 milioni la richiesta). Mourinho, che dovrà rinunciare per circa 5 settimane a Cambiasso, attende Sneijder nelle prossime ore.

Si tratta ora di valutare se le dichiarazioni del giocatore, che a parole aveva rifiutato la destinazione nerazzurra, fossero legate ad una strategia nella trattativa con il Real. Se invece Sneijder non dimostrerà gradimento per l'Inter, la società punterà su Julio Baptista o Deco, che ieri ha segnato il gol del 3-1 con cui il Chelsea di Ancelotti ha battuto in rimonta il Sunderland nell'anticipo di campionato inglese.

Ahhhh.. Mou causing a fuss once again; I sort of missed it tbh. Nice to see everyone's still got a hard-on for him too..

Anyone know how long Cambiasso is out for? Some sources are saying 5 weeks, some saying 90 days.

If there is a silver lining involved, I think not having a trequartista is now off the table. It seemed to me as if we were looking for one but if the perfect situation didn't present itself, we were going to pass and tell Mou to use the squad he's got. Now, we can guarantee someone will come in but it will still be near the final day of the window. If we end up getting Sneijder for 15 mil instead of 25 mil then I suppose the wait was worth it..

Predictably, the Italian media has gone after Mou about the comments he made against Lippi. Do you guys like the way he pits everyone against us before the season even starts? It's pretty obvious he went after Lippi since he knew he'd get the biggest reaction out of the comments and a great way to piss off as many people as possible. I give it 4 weeks before Leonardo and Ciro get something coming there way which is too long imo.

Great tactics, yay or nay?

Also, Sacchi was invited to training today. Does he have any link to anything relating to us atm? Any theories?

"Ho ricevuto una chiamata dal Real che mi ha confermato che l'affare tra le società è fatto". Soren Lerby, agente di Wesley Sneijder, conferma il raggiunto accordo tra il club di Florentino Perez e l'Inter. Le parole di Soren, riportate dal 'De Telegraaf', dipingono però uno Sneider disorientato: "Ho parlato con Wesley - continua Lerby - ma al momento è confuso, non sa ancora cosa vuole. Ora ci rifletterà su e se deciderà di trasferirsi all'Inter, ci vedremo con la dirigenza per vedere se possono soddisfare le sue richieste".
