So, we now have a Slovenian hurdle to cross before getting into the Europa League proper... and il mister reckons because of our players' continuous training this summer we should be sure of a good start. We'll need it!

My girlfriend is trying to learn a little Italian to please me and mentioned something about our young bloods, Grosseto and Crescenzi following D'Alessandro out the door! Mediaset has updated it's text service since she saw this and I can find nothing anywhere about it. Anyone else heard anything?

What I have just read, I sincerely hope is a real load of bullshit! We are now apparently into the idea of bringing the party animal who was once l'imperatore to Roma as an alternative to Negredo! Does the nonsense never end? If there is interest, it's that this character only wants as big a pay day out of us as he can get! Last I heard, he's playing the same tricks in Brasil as he did during his latter days at Inter...as for Negredo, I'm wondering under what circumstances we are negotiating, if we are at all. Loan or sale? The reputed Ã¢â€šÂ¬15mil price tag is just not on!

I've noticed a few of you got on Pauly's case over the Aquilani affair. It's hardly a secret that a number of tifosi Romani began to refer to Alberto as "Swarovski" last season. Not knowing much about finely sculpted crystalline beads and artefacts, I admit I had to look up Wikipaedia...but the irony of the nick was never lost on me from when I first saw it. Like it or not, we had reached the point where our young Roman eagle was seen by a sizeable number of football pundits, giallorossi and otherwise, as being a beautiful but highly fragile, saleable commodity.

My own opinion was clear enough: much as I'd have loved to see him rediscover the fine art that was his partnership with De Rossi, one made all the more desirable because of birthright...if I was really forced to decide over Rosella's statement of intent that either Aqui or Vuci had to go, then in in the short (and probably long) term, Vučinić is more valuable to the team. He is Montenegrin but has insisted he wants to stay with us. Unless it's just that I haven't read it anywhere, I have yet to see Alberto, a Romano, say anything like that for a long time! Though no doubt he will express some carefully selected words from the skilled pen of some PR official in his public statement at Anfield tomorrow when saying, "arrivederci Roma!"

Some players just reach a point where it's simply time to move on in order to come good again. Our club needed his market value, he needs to resuscitate his career and something tells me Trigoria might not provide the best building blocks for where he is, at this moment, both physically and mentally. I think though he's lost to us, probably for good, Serie A will certainly see him again...and heaven help us, it's as likely as not, to be in Piemonte wearing the zebra's stripes!

I'd rather he could have stayed with us though...

Non escludo altre partenze, ma se qualcun'altro dovesse andar via, sarÃƒÂ adeguatamente sostituito". La dottoressa Sensi, ha approfittato dell'occasione per togliersi anche qualche sassolino dalle scarpe: "La mia famiglia non mangia con la Roma.[how much are her annual wages this year?] Mio padre non ha mai preso dalla Roma, ha sempre dato. Anche perchÃƒÂ¨ amava in modo folle questa squadra" . Infine, Rosella Sensi si ÃƒÂ¨ soffermata sulla questione relativa alla costruzione del nuovo stadio: "Abbiamo individuato l'area per la realizzazione del nuovo stadio della Roma.
