Everyone else too disgusted to post a review of last nights performance? It is just a friendly but it showed the widening gulf between us and Inter. They didn't need to do anything against us but keep their formation organized; Leo's tactical ineptitude was exposed with our whole team running around like headless chickens...and we couldn't even do that well. In spite of our seeming hustle Inter players were always first to the ball and already knew where to pass next.

I think this proved more than anything that we need a midfielder more than ever (we actually need a whole new midfield); Flamini was the only one who showed some semblance of quality out there. We couldn't threaten an Inter side largely on cruise control and I don't see anything changing for the season. Whats Berlusconi going to say when Moratti shoves it in his face that Inter have won mor Scudetti than Milan?

"Milan coach Leonardo has bemoaned the club's lack of transfer activity, reminding vice president Adriano Galliani that he needs reinforcements.

The Brazilian coach saw his side lose again during their World Challenge tour. The Rossoneri crumbled 2-0 against Inter, Diego Milito scoring twice, leaving Leonardo with plenty to think about.

"We need a couple of players, we will see what happens," Leonardo told the media after the game.

With the team playing a fixture every two days, tiredness seems to have been a key factor in Milan's poor run.

"I don't like making up excuses. Nobody likes losing, especially against Inter. I have to say the organisation of this tournament wasn't the greatest," added the coach.

"We played three games in five days, but Inter prepared with plenty of time. We are tired and the game didn't go how we wanted.

Leonardo has confirmed reports that AC Milan are interested in signing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from Real Madrid as the club begin to show serious interest in the striker.

After seeing his side lose in a pre-season fixture against city rivals Inter, the Rossoneri boss admitted that he wanted a bigger squad for the new campaign.

Milan's numbers could well be increased by a move for the Dutch striker as the club still have money to spend after seeing Kaka join Los Merengues for around €67million.

"If we find the chance to buy, Huntelaar is a player we would consider," Leonardo told reporters.

He added that Milan's interest was "serious" and that an enquiry could see negotiations begin because Madrid have made it clear that the see Huntelaar as surplus to requirements.

Tottenham Hotspur are also interested and looked to be in a good position as the forward made it clear he would like to move to England after snubbing a transfer to Stuttgart.

Tottenham Hotspur's Welsh international defender Gareth Bale is at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war between multiple Serie A clubs.

The Daily Mail reports that Italian giants, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus are all keeping close tabs on the Spurs defender, whilst former boss Martin Jol is also reportedly keen to take the youngster from White Hart Lane as he rebuilds his Ajax team for the new season.

Milan are keen on finding a star to fill their problem left-back role and apparently believe that 20-year-old Bale is the player for them.

The Italian club thought they had signed former Porto left-back Aly Cissokho, but the 21-year-old failed a medical and subsequently moved to Olympique Lyonnais for £13 million.

Bale is yet to take part in a Premiershit victory for Tottenham, despite moving from Southampton for £5 million in 2007, at just 18-years-old.

The Welshman is widely regarded as a future star but had to spend time on the bench at White Hart Lane last season, after losing his place to Frenchman, Benoit Assou-Ekotto.

Bale has made 42 appearances for Spurs, scoring three goals.

The official club website of AC Milan this afternoon announced the signing of Villarreal star Giuseppe Rossi, only for the story to then mysteriously disappear just moments later, according to Radio 24 and Radio Radio.

The Rossoneri are well known to be in the market for a top class attacker, and recently failed in their attempts to sign Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko and Sevilla's Luis Fabiano.

Villarreal forward Giuseppe Rossi has made no secret in the past of his wish to join Milan, the team he supported as a boy, but any transfer this summer had always appeared unlikely due to the Italian club's financial problems.

However, Milan then dropped a bombshell this afternoon by announcing the signing of the Confederations Cup star on their official website, only for the story to be removed moments later.

It seems that there are two possible explanations. Either acmilan.com was hacked by an outsider playing a practical joke, or this was a sensational gaffe by a Milan employee who published the announcement too early.

All Milan fans will be hoping for the second explanation, and the fact that Villarreal signed Brazilian striker Nilmar at the weekend will certainly boost their hopes that Rossi is indeed set to join the Rossoneri.

Strictly, sp, I think signing someone like Mido would be the logical equivalent to the Onyewu purchase. It's not as though you didn't need another CB option without Paolo and Senderos; it's just whether or not Onyewu's fit to wear red-and-black.
