Samuel Eto'o - Zlatan Ibrahimovic Deal Is Complete - Barcelona Director Oliver
Barcelona director Joan Oliver has announced the deal that will see Samuel Eto'o join Inter, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic head to Barcelona is all wrapped up. All that remains are the players signatures...
Barcelona have confirmed an accord has been reached between both clubs and with the players. The Blaugrana have also hinted that Ibrahimovic may be unveiled on Monday.
Oliver, who left Inter's offices after completing the deal told Sky Sport Italia, "The deal between both clubs is done. That goes for [Aliaksandr] Hleb too."
The Barcelona director has been thrashing out final details in Milan, and he will now return to the Spanish city in order to present Ibrahimovic with the transfer documents.
One final brick needs to be laid for the deal to become concrete and that is the signature block.
Barcelona's Txiki Begiristain has also confirmed the deal is in place and Ibrahimovic needs to put pen to paper.
"We have an agreement with the player and with Inter, and we are now preparing the documents," Begiristain told Sport.es.
"The transfer paper is in Milan as our directors there are negotiating it with Inter. We are trying to do things as fast as possible and he [Ibrahimovic] could be unveiled on Monday."
It is suggested both clubs will announce the deal as official once both men sign and rubber stamp their respective contracts.
State Of Play
If you're having trouble keeping up with one of this summer's more confusing sagas, here is the exact situation, correct at time of this article's publication. Be sure to check the latest article for the latest updates!
* With the deal complete, all that remains are the players signatures. This is likely to happen between now and Monday once Barcelona have the transfer documents from Inter.
* Inter will receive between €48m and €52m for Ibrahimovic. The exact details of the transfer are likely to surface on Monday.
* Monday is the day both teams are expected to announce the deal as official.
* Contrary to earlier reports, Aliaksandr Hleb arrives in Milan as part of the Maxwell to Barcelona deal. The Belarus midfielder played no part in the Eto'o - 'Ibra' transfer.
* Italian sources claim Jose Mourinho is delighted with the outcome of the long-running transfer.
I'm still not understanding this; Oliver said the deal has been done and that includes Hleb. Hleb says he doesn't want to leave Barca and it's still being said that the Hleb deal was part of Maxwell's sale that was completed 2 weeks ago.
Jose Mourinho breaks his silence to say “this is the Inter I dreamed of and Samuel Eto’o is as good as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the transfer was strange.â€
Inter To Spend Zlatan Ibrahimovic Cash On Landing Antonio Cassano – Report
Inter will not stop at Samuel Eto'o as Mourinho eyes another piece of the jigsaw...
Inter are about to spend a huge chunk of the fee they will receive from Barcelona for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and they will use it to land Antonio Cassano from Sampdoria.
According to Tuttosport, Jose Mourinho is looking for a fantasista to play behind Samuel Eto'o and Diego Milito next season. Cassano fits the bill, and a deal that may see Amantino Mancini head to the Marassi could take off.
The report suggests Inter will offer cash plus Mancini, who would join Samp in a co-ownership deal. Cassano has a clause in his contract that stipulates he can leave in light of an €18 million offer. Earlier this week, Blucerchiati director Giuseppe Marotta claimed only mega figures would see 'Talentino' leave.
Voices claim that Sampdoria like Mancini, and this has been confirmed by the club on numerous occasions.
Mourinho is trying to cut his squad size down, and both David Suazo and Nelson Rivas could also be used as bait.
With Inter cashing in on Ibrahimovic, and with a number of players set to leave, the club will have a decent transfer pot to be able to use for Cassano.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic on his way to Barcelona, Inter are reportedly ready to splash out £16m on Antonio Cassano.
The Sampdoria starlet is a known Nerazzurri supporter and has often hinted he would love to play for Jose Mourinho’s side.
According to ‘Tuttosport’, President Massimo Moratti thinks the best way to win back the fans after selling Ibra to Barcelona would be signing FantAntonio.
“I would say that there is at least a 98 per cent chance that Cassano will remain at Marassi,â€
I didn't but the highlights look decent and a lot better than our previous matches. Milito looks absolutely lethal and with Eto'o up front, this is gonna be one heck of a partnership. I can't wait to see this team with the proper starting 11 which will hopefully be in the Lazio game. Lomba, are Eto'o and Hleb going to be presented soon?
Inter Brush Milan Aside In World Football Challenge After Diego Milito Brace
The Nerazzurri grabbed their first win of the tournament with a straightforward victory against their Milan neighbours...
In what was an early prelude to the Derby della Madonnina for the upcoming Serie A season, Inter showed their arch-nemeses, AC Milan, who is king as they cruised to a 2-0 win at the Gillette Stadium in the World Football Challenge.
Both teams were unable to amass even a single win between them heading into the game and the Rossoneri looked likeliest to break the deadlock after just three minutes when Alexandre Pato's effort from distance was saved brilliantly by Julio Cesar.
But straight to the other end, Diego Milito rifled the Nerazzurri infront when he ran onto Esteban Cambiasso's pass and finished off clinically past Zeljko Kalac from a tight angle.
Milan failed to respond and it was Inter who continued to look the more threatening side, with Mario Balotelli, Dejan Stankovic and Thiago Motta all having a crack at goal.
Milito had a chance to double his tally right on the half-hour mark before Ronaldinho produced Milan's best chance since the opening minutes when his free kick from 20 yards out just sailed over the bar.
Leonardo made three changes at the break for Il Diavolo and 'Dinho came close again just after the restart when his stining shot on the edge of the area was saved by Julio Cesar.
Sulley Muntari then had two attempts at goal in quick succession for Inter, but neither found the mark as the game went into a lull.
But with 15 minutes left on the clock, Milito secured the win for Jose Mourinho's side when he collected Stankovic's pass inside the box and smashed in his shot with authority into the top right corner.
Alessandro Nesta almost salvaged a consolation for Milan in injury time but his attempt from a tight angle was easily saved.
The Rossoneri end the tournament bottom of the table with three defeats from three games but picked up two points for scoring two goals, while Inter finish third with a draw, a win and a loss and seven points in total.
I saw the match at the stadium and it was fucking amazing. We totally dominated in the first 45 minutes though both the teams slowed down in the second half. As Rob mentioned, Cambiasso totally owned Ronaldinho. Mountari looked in fine touch and I really like Motta and Stankovic in midfield. Motta had a good presence in midfield and Pirlo saw very less of the ball. I think this will probably be the formation we play with Eto'o in for Balotelli.
Lucio was a giant and he pushed forward really well. We played a higher line and the midfield played much forward than they usually do which what Mourinho wants. Finally Milito worked really hard and he scored two fine goals to show for it. For once we kept the ball to the ground and played it through the midfield instead of launching long balls to the forwards. We were patient in possession waiting for good outlets and were never hurried to get the ball to the strikers like we used to do with Ibra. I like the way the team is shaping up.
Good to know we're really on the verge of playing some decent ball to the ground football, instead of the old style 'shoot to the stars so that maybe Ibra can do something about it.' I've heard from another source that Motta played quite beow his standards yesterday, but you say he was ok. So did we play a 4-4-2 with a diamond midfield Frank?
