I sure hope that if he ever returns to San Siro as a Barca player, he wont be booed. He gave us everything we could have wished for...first he gave a kick on the teeth to the Juve supporters, chose us over Milan, won us 3 Scudetti (2 of which single-handedly), top scorer,brilliant individual pieces of class, Eto'o, Hleb & 50M cash....what else could we have wished for?

Really, I hope that next time he is at the San Siro, he gets a good standing ovation. Good bye Champion!

I am not sure but I read it somewhere that Mourinho has told he wouldn't give an interview until September. I am sure he is really pissed off, lol.

Yeah, we will all miss Ibra. Even after the Calciopoli we won the scudetto only thanks to him. The day he came on the pitch and scored two to clinch the Scudetto when we were struggling and those amazing goals against Bologna, Fiorentina. I hope he kicks Madrid's ass along with Messi and co.

President, has the deal been concluded?
"Almost, so let's wait."

so it looks like this reported 'golden handshake' is what might be holding things up. i dont think i've ever heard of such a scenario where a soon-to-be former team has to pay you a severance in order to move to another team. very odd if it's true.

I'm pretty sure this happened with Adebayor as well because he didn't ask to leave but Arsenal essentially sold him and therefore, they ask for his golden handshake since the club are breaking the contract. Barca will eventually give in considering the deal is way too far down the track to be stopped now and if they don't give him to us, they'll lose him for free next season since his contract runs out.

When getting paid 10 million a season on a 5 year contract, you'd thing that would be enough as well as all the money you've previously earned throughout your pro career but I guess a few million will buy him another six Lambo's to park in the garage...

Yep your right, it has nothing to do with his classical and highly educated upbringing in the rich city streets of majestic Bari. While Totti may have been no angel in the past, his reasons for moaning was due to the continues hacking of his ankles etc., whereas this younger generation like Cassano and Balotelli bitch and moan about the colour of their shite.

So Dejan, had we had the option to chose, who would you more gladly accept..Hamsik or Cassano for this squad. I have always thought that we need a midfielder like Hamsik, but right now we're lacking some good wide options, therefore Cassano is needed too. Let's not forget that in january there is the Afro cup and both Eto'o & Muntari will be away for a month or two.
Had Vieira not taken French citizenship, I'm pretty sure he'd be in tip top condition in mid-december...at least he would have given a good 2 matches next season.. :roll:
