I think you'll be a better team in Europe with Eto'o (with or without the 40mil, even) but a weaker one in Serie A.

Valencia are adamant that they do not want to sell David Villa to Barcelona and have told the Catalan giants once again that he is not for sale after the latest bid was received.

Reports on Friday morning suggest that the Blaugrana have now turned their attention to Inter's Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but that may yet prove to be a tactic to land their main target.

Villa is desperate to join the European champions, according to various sources, and is frustrated that Valencia chief Manuel Llorente will not let him speak to them.

Now los Che have been offered Ã¢â€šÂ¬42 million and told that it is non-negotiable for the Spain international - and the club's president has opted to turn it down.

"Laporta called me and I repeated to him that we are not willing to sell the footballer," Llorente told AS.

Earlier this month it was revealed that Villa was told last summer that he could go this year for staying loyal to the club and now he is unhappy that this has not been allowed to happen.

Valencia were unhappy that Barca's technical secretary flew to Asturias to meet the striker to outline what would be on offer should he be allowed to join them.

Lucio admitted he shed a tear after leaving Bayern Munich on Thursday to join Inter Milan. The Brazilian defender arrived in Milan on Friday to undergo a medical before putting pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Italian club. He will then fly to Los Angeles, where the Nerazzurri are currently based for a pre-season training camp. He said his goodbyes to staff in Munich on Thursday only hours after returning to the city for the first time having led Brazil to glory at the Confederations Cup, and he admitted it was an emotional occasion.

"I had an unforgettable time for five years here, was able to win many titles and I will never forget that," he told Munich's Tz newspaper. "[General manager] Uli Hoeness' secretary has always helped me and became a very good friend - she has a big heart and is very kind. "She cried when I left and I did too."

While leaving Munich was a difficult decision, Lucio claimed it was inevitable after learning he would not be given more than a one-year extension to his contract next year. At the age of 31, he required more long-term security, which is what the Italian champions were able to offer him.

"Inter really wanted me, Bayern didn't. A new stage in my life begins from now," he said. "When Inter's offer came in, it made my decision easy. Inter are a giant and it is going to be spectacular for me. "Football is like this: sometimes it is sad, but you cannot always agree on everything. "I have built up respect here because I always gave everything for Bayern."

Kaka and Ibrahimovic were two players I desperately wanted to see.

Kaka has already gone, I don't think I will be able to see Ibra as well. That blows.

I sincerely hope when he says WE, he's talking about himself, Mourinho and the transfer advisers. However, I didn't get that vibe from this interview. I really want an answer to who was behind this move so we know who to blame if shit goes wrong.
