Fabiano comes with a much better record than Oliviera, but I still see a lot in what Shinpin said in comparing him to your former flopstar (I just made that up, thats brilliant init). A lazy 28-year-old moody Brazilian who would have big things expected of him to be an instant success in a new league. Having said that, thought, he did impress me with his eye for goal in the Confederations Cup, so he could work out. Sickening that Galliani said he will be your only signing, though.

while i still have faith in borriello to shine, he did have a poor season last year. he had 1 goal in 8 league games, and i remember an away game we had, maybe against lecce, where he missed 5 open chances. but i still think he is much better than what he showed last season. he brings great energy up front and some of his goals for genoa were classic control, turn and shoot goals which is something we've been expecting from a target man.

as for the midfield, the pirlo to chelsea rumors are gaining ground and it seems the deal will be completed for around 20m euros within the next 2 odd weeks or something. braida is also in brazil officially to represent milan at pato's wedding, but at the same time he's looking to hernanes (24 year old box to box midfielder) and andre santos, brazil's LB at the recent confederations cup. apparently the deal with hernanes will be announced soon after pirlo leaves. and then of course there is oliveira 2.0, fabiano. that fucker seems to be our only open target on the market.

that is potentially 3 more brazilians. frankly, i am disappointed. we should've just sealed the deal for cissokho with porto, its unbelievable how low our club has gotten; making false claims about teeth problems when the player is perfectly normal. it is a damn shame.

cissokho, huntelaar, and hernanes [for pirlo] would be my ideal transfers. God help us...

We won't be able to get all 3 of them shinpin; worst case we get Fabiano and one of Hernanes or Santos. I'd get Hernanes of the three as he would fit within the box to box midfielder mould we've needed for a while. And I'm happy with our current LB options; Janks, Zambro and the young Albertazzi should provide enough cover not to mention Kaladze and Favalli. Cissokho would be a nice addition but I'd rather we invested in a better CB.
Anyone else thought Nesta looked terrible against Varanese? Granted he just got back but this is a 4th(?) division side. Thiago Silva seemed pretty good though; very fast, recovers well and has a "you shall not pass" attitude.
I'm not sure why but I was happy seeing most of the team out there and healthy. If everyone can remain free of injury this may not be as terrible a season as I feared. Man, I told myself I wouldn't get sucked back into feeling optimistic about the team but thats just what happened. Fuck it. Forza Milan.

AC Milan officials are reportedly in Sao Paulo to enter negotiations with the Brazilian champions for their star player, Hernanes.

According to sportmediaset.it, Milan's general director Ariedo Braida is currently in Brazil after ending negotiations for Andre Santos. The stumbling block in the deal is third-party ownership, as is so often the case with South American footballers.

The 23-year-old is mostly owned by Sao Paulo while Traffic hold around 17 per cent, the same group that own some of Keirrison's registration. As a result, Sao Paulo are determined not to let their man go on the cheap, as some of the fee will not end up in their hands.

A Ã¢â€šÂ¬30 million fee is thus being mooted for the midfielder, who is capable of striking the ball with both feet and playing either in front of the defence or, preferably, as an attacking midfielder.

Should Andrea Pirlo's transfer to Chelsea go ahead for the reported Ã¢â€šÂ¬25m, the Rossoneri will have plenty of cash on hand with which to buy Hernanes after the sale of Kaka to Real Madrid.

Admittedly some of the Ã¢â€šÂ¬65m was kept aside for paying off debts, but Braida may be given the green light to meet Sao Paulo's valuation and make a giant step towards the first big-money signing of the Leonardo era.

Juve gave up on him and Real arereportedly reluctant to meet Udinese's asking price.

Do you really think Milan could/would get him?

Better for Milan to spend an extra couple of million and get a better player (Hernanes), like Juve did with Melo.

AC Milan's negotiations for Luis Fabiano have not gone to plan as any move for the Sevilla striker seems to have stalled.

Earlier reports claimed the Rossoneri were locked in talks with RIO, the investment company who own 65 per cent of Luis Fabiano's rights. The voices claimed RIO were ready to sell their man and they would work alongside Milan in order to apply pressure on Sevilla.

However, it appears as if any potential deal is now on standby as the Rossoneri fail to tackle the issues surrounding the Brazilian international. Milan lawyer Leandro Cantamessa emerged from the club's Via Turati headquarters and the new details do not seem positive.

"We made an offer and they said no and so we had to revoke our offer," Cantamessa told Sky Sport Italia.

"I don't think there will be another offer for now. Any further questions should be aimed at [Adriano] Galliani."

Galliani did emerge minutes later, but he was clearly in no mood to speak as he whizzed his way past the journalists. The media then marauded the streets of Milan in an attempt to speak with the vice-president, but he remained quiet.

and pirlo is gone to chelsea, all that remains is the official confirmation apparently. he was a great player, one of my favorites in the current generation.
