Fair enough, but I still don't think the disparity is as big as you make it out to be. And I guess I may as well add that he could be making a lot more money from Milan if he had run the club right.

And the problem is that the other intangibles might also be felt to cancel each other out - certainly Berlusconi's enjoyed being president of the club (attending games; being central to the club's culture; etc. etc.), but you could argue that that is balanced by the pleasure he's brought to the fans through the success of the club. The fans have supported the club in huge numbers because the club's been successful and because fans have supported the club in huge numbers, the club's been successful and one Berlusconi's been delighted to figurehead.

well, i believe only a naive person would purely think of the financial terms(although it does count), i do believe milan fans played a big part in silvio election and re-election, put him in a position were he will be secured from any judegment or punishment for his "Acts", not to mention increase his popularity among italians(ok mb not), and world wide.

sum to that he took a great joy of owning a team that was on the top of the world for a long period of time, if he is truly a milan fan, this means all what i said before.
