Pauly, I read pieces on both Rai and Mediaset text services which verify the statements in the links posted by both yourself and Fonz...

Most certainly, Nicola Irti the Fio Group lawyer knows the affair is now over or he'd never have made such a public statement. But, there is as the old saying goes, no smoke without fire and if both Totti and PradÃƒÂ¨ think our club is strong as is then heaven help us!

In the case of PradÃƒÂ¨ a couple of days ago making such a statement at Trigoria...while I realise he must present a personaggio publicco of well being when attempting to reassure troubled fans, he should have it made clear to him that by no means all of us either believe or will be dismissed with such intelligence insulting bullshit!

...as for Fonz' efforts, it's nice to see he is one of too few of us here who considers it's worth going to the trouble of using images to both entertain and make our point.

e.g. on the subject of the "peng," I found these and thought them to be amusing...I also realise if anyone views them as bein' in bad taste, it won't be our professore!

Pauly, I've believed the rumours leaking out over the last 8 or 9 days that la Sensi has finally accepted she has to let her presidency go...finally she sees she is both required to in a business sense, and on a personal level, having now lost whatever few positive vibes she may have had with the tifosi romanisti!

Saying that, of course it could be argued she could make the statement below with no intention of accepting any offers but it seems the matter is at last out of her hands. The question now is "when" rather than "if!"

What is also of interest was il mister speaking today of needing a striker. At last the penny has dropped! On the subject of funds to buy a centroavanti, again we return to which of our existing players is sacrificed to make the deal! Unless we go for Sheva or similar...

Extensive interview with Fioranelli on today, main points of which I'm copying from RA:

- He is the only person authorisied to speak from the Italian side of the Iitalian-German group, thereby distancing himself from the comments of Nicola Irti yesterday

- He was suprised Spalletti reacted with such hard words today against Irti's criticim of Totti yesterday because he himself had immediately distanced himself from Irti's comments which in no way reflect his view of Totti

- Volker Flick is a great expert of financial operations and, although he is related to the Flick family, the group is nothing to do with that family dynasty

- He has contact only with Mediobanca, not Unicredit

- He is gradually resolving the problems which are delaying his acquisition of Roma, although by next week a decision must be taken one way or the other

- He, like Rosella, would not sell Totti or De Rossi, all the time they wanted to remain at roma.
