If the Fioranelli affair doesn't happen for us, Thursday, and no-one buys us at auction afterward, we will probably have to do just exactly that, Tuna-Man!

Is Tonetto not one of the ones we are supposed to be unloading though? Hell, we don't know what to think at the moment...

I would keep Tonetto for a final season. Just for the sake of having some depth at the LB spot. He would be a third option behind Riise and Antunes.

Carlo, did we buy Motta's full contract or did we go for co-ownership? Different reports are popping up.

As for the exact figure paid, I can't remember, but I read in Mediaset we have complete ownership of Motta now...

Considering that we're not playing in the CL, we should offload Tonetto, Cassetti and Panucci and replace them with Antunes, Rosi and Andreolli respectively. This will bring in a little cash but mostly reduce wages (especially Panucci's).
We would need another backup CB. Looks like the options are Esposito from Lecce or Lugano (Uruguyan at Besiktas). I'm indifferent here. Esposito is Italian and younger. Lugano comes highly touted, still relatively young and would be a free transfer but his wages would be much higher because he's free.also, Brosco might see some playing time between Europa League and Coppa Italia engagements.
In the centre midfield is where we are best covered in terms of quality and quantity. Ddr, piz, aqui and brighi. If both our regulars go down, we replace them with Brighi and aquilani, two players on the margins of the italian national team. Faty's coming back but we might sell him away because of his lack of options and because Crescenzi is mature enough to be the third backup centrehalf.If we don't sell or loan faty, we'll be really stacked there.
Striker role: we have totti. Vucinic can replace him but I would much rather he takes the left side as much as possible with Menez being the first alternative. The Sheva rumour is very enticing (parametro zero e riduzione del'ingaggio secondo le norme gialorosse). He seems keen. This would be one of my preferred options even if we had money for Drogba or Adebayor. Drogba wants to play for mourinho and adebayor is a total twat.
