Ahmed, though some guys, perhaps for their own piece of mind have chosen to play down this fact, we've been well enough warned that unless we get a change of ownership, the only way we can buy an expensive player this summer is by first selling at least one of our bigger names.

It was supposed to be Brighi or Mexes, and could still be! As Ed(Shield) has said, I'm not sure I really believe this Vučinić story and not just because he's just signed a new contract with us. That can be broken...

I also don't think our new "Triade" of Pradè-Conti-Spalletti would be so foolish as to sell Motta to Juventus as is also rumoured unless it has been decided to pull out all the stops in an attempt to sign Trezeguet!

I mean, we'd have to first pay off Udinese, then start wheeling/dealing over Trez. Someone would really have to have the hots for him if we go to this trouble! There must be other ways of sweetening a Trezeguet deal if there is truth to it. The time factor alone wouldn't exactly help us over Motta as p/exch!


btw, forget for the moment Ahmed supports one of our direct rivals...trust me, his sympathies are very much with us on the idea of Vuci leaving il calcio...

Sorry Carlo, but it's hard to take sides with someone who supports Juventus. Really, if you consider ManU to be symbol of disgust, then what can you consider Juventus to be?

I have to agree on Motta. I can't really see Spalletti letting him go, especially since we seem to be weak at the RB position. It's obvious that Spalletti doesn't have much faith in Cicinho (how many times has he picked Cassetti ahead of him), Cassetti is not starting material, and Panucci is pretty much done playing at RB. We need some cover. If it were up to me I would get rid of Cassetti/Cicinho (take your pick), bring back Rosi and let them fight it out for the starting spot.

Ahmed, as I've been saying, I'd hate to see us lose Motta. Mediaset today mentioned we have until June 25 to settle the affair with Udinese. To see us pay them the balance of what's owed and to then perhaps just use him as part of another deal, for example a part exchange to bring Trezeguet to Roma...that would be just too bad!

Menez? There's been talk of him going back to France for a while now as I'm sure you know. If la Sensi stays in power at Roma then yes, we have to first sell in order to buy!
