I wish other players would do the same. They should be sensible enough to know that if they're not producing relative to their wages, then they should be making, or asking for less (even amongst constant injuries).......montella, Juan, Aquilani.

sorry guys, i havent been covering the contracts this season yet, but ill take care of it in a couple weeks. hopefully by then, our transfer season will start to take off a bit

I'm not sure Monty should get too much of the blame for his situation. Were the club to buy out his contract I'm sure he'd be happy enough to go elsewhere; as it is, he got offered a massive contract which he has every right to continue to pocket. Once he's off that contract, after all, his income is going to go through the floor. That he shouldn't have been offered such a contract is a different point; personally, I think it's a bit disingenuous to criticise him for continuing to pick it up. He was offered it on the back of scoring 20+ goals before Christmas. Has he scored 10 in the four and half seasons since?

I wonder how much Pepe would be on the market for. It'd be nice to see another Roman boy in the squad, but it'd cost us a fair bit, I think, and be the Avvocato's most compelling illustration of our lack of willingness to invest in our own youth. I'd much prefer for us to take a punt on Cerci instead. Either that or we could let him go in the hope that he makes it elsewhere so we can bring him back to replace Pepe for another 15 mil in another 5 years' time.

edzo, stop flirting with tk. I suppose the moglie and I tend to get up relatively early - even during the lazy hazy days of summer. One of the cats bringing a bird in at 5:00 this morning certainly played a part today, too. The other one was missing for three days over the weekend - the only time he's ever been gone for anywhere near that length of time - and we were getting pretty worried so I took to the neighbourhood with fliers asking people to check their garages and sheds and happily he returned later that evening, famished but otherwise seemingly unperturbed. That, anyway, has been using up the nervous energy I usually spend on worrying about Roma. I see stefano and the Avvocato have been continuing the tk-baiting; it's quite an entertaining spectator sport.
