No, I don't, edzo. He was playing at left-back at the beginning of the season and doing quite well but then was injured for a bit. I tried to keep an eye on this, but I couldn't find a site which would allow me to do it in any kind of efficient or economical way - evidently I wasn't interested enough to read the write-ups of the games each week which is a pity. He didn't leave us a left-sided player, Jam, but he's played at left back a bit over the past two seasons, I believe, and I did think when we last saw him play that he was more likely to end up a fullback than a winger. I knew someone would bring itunes up; I've seen less of him, certainly, but I think he's less likely to cut it. Had he been ripping it up this season I'd have been more inclined to reconsider that.

You think he's less likely than Rosi to cut it? Why? Are your thoughts based on a playing time basis or what?

On what I've seen of them on the pitch, moldy. I never got quite so excited by itunes as one or two did when he got a bit of a run towards the end of last season. I felt that he was further from being the finished product - Rosi was certainly stronger and I think probably quicker than itunes. itunes looked to me like an elegant, technical player who was always likely to end up having been better at under-17 level than when the game got more physical. I may well be wrong, but there is more power to Rosi's game and he's also had more experience within Italy which is why I think he might be ahead of itunes for next season.

I know that last sentence isn't quite logical, but I guess you can sense the couple of steps I've left out: Rosi's more likely to be ready to play a part in the coming season and playing a part in the coming season is more likely to bring him on as a player still further . . .

Nessun segnale nella direzione di una soluzione della vicenda AS Roma nelle prossime ore. ''C'e' una procedura molto chiara: i Sensi devono rientrare dal debito, anche per rilanciare la squadra di calcio giallorossa'', spiegano fonti finanziarie accreditate. Ma l'ipotesi che possa essere la cordata guidata da Vinicio Fioranelli a realizzare l'operazione di acquisizione della Roma viene definita ''fantasiosa''. In ogni caso, se Italpetroli che controlla la As.Roma, si mettera' d'accordo con un eventuale acquirente della squadra di calcio giallorossa (con l'assistenza di Mediobanca che e' attuale advisor), una volta raggiunto l'accordo spetta alla famiglia Sensi informare i mercati. Anche se come prassi che alcuni esponenti di aziende quotate seguono, c'e' anche quella di comunicare il raggiungimento dell'intesa prima alla Commissione che vigila sulla Borsa. L'istituto di Piazza Verdi continua, infatti, a mantenere sempre alta l'attenzione sul titolo del club giallorosso per evitare qualsiasi tipo di speculazione. In merito poi all'ipotesi che Unicredit, esposta per circa 282 milioni verso la famiglia Sensi, possa intraprendere un'azione legale per rientrare dal credito, gli ambienti finanziari tendono ad escludere tale eventualita'.

Mediobanca studia alternative a Fioranelli: ricontattato Angelini


MF - Mediobanca sta valutando alternative a Vinicio Fioranelli, alternative per la cessione della As Roma. Le garanzie dell'agente Fifa, secondo quanto riferiscono fonti accreditate, non sembra convincere Piazzetta Cuccia che si e' messa subito in moto per cercare possibili opzioni alternative per il club giallorosso della famiglia Sensi.

Continuano in quest'ottica i contatti tra le parti: Rosella Sensi, a.d. del club, la stessa Mediobanca e Unicredit, azionista al 49% di Italpetroli, la holding che controlla la As Roma.

L'istituto guidato da Alessandro Profumo si e' detto "disponibile" a valutare una soluzione di compromesso, ha cioe' accettato di attendere qualche giorno per valutare le possibili opzioni alternative al mandato a vendere che dovrebbe essere assegnato ad un advisor per la cessione della Roma. Un compromesso che non contempli pero' semplicemente un ingresso nel capitale della Roma, ma che riguardi l'intero pacchetto di maggioranza del club. Anche perche' la priorita' per Unicredit resta rientrare dall'ingente debito che pesa sulle spalle di Italpetroli.

Ma questi giorni non dovranno diventare settimane. "Sappiamo - spiegano
fonti vicine al dossier - che Mediobanca ha sul tavolo e sta valutando
possibili soluzioni alternative, ma non siamo disponibili a perdere
ulteriore tempo. La clessidra e' stata gia' girata e la sabbia scende, a
questo punto ci attendiamo risposte in tempi ragionevoli altrimenti
andremo avanti con le nostre soluzioni". Il tempo dunque per Mediobanca
non e' infinito, nonostante questa della vendita della As Roma stia
prendendo i connotati di una vera e propria "neverending story".

Mediobanca ha gia' ricontattato l'imprenditore farmaceutico Francesco
Angelini, e avrebbe avviato contatti con alcuni fondi libici. La visita di
Gheddafi, infatti, viene letta come una possibilita' anche per la As Roma,
visti i buoni rapporti tra la Libia e Mediobanca (che e' advisor per gli
investimenti libici in Italia).

L'unica cosa su cui oggi si puo' scommettere e' che semmai la Roma
dovesse essere ceduta in queste ore a saperlo, per vincoli di
comunicazione, dovrebbe essere per prima proprio Unicredit.

i think Dieni left out that Rosella just wants to start a bidding war so that the inflated price will ease some of the debt the Sensi's own. what hasnt struck the bitch in the head is that no one wants a bidding war and no one is in a hurry to buy a footballing club during a world wide recession. a footballing club is already a struggle to manage but she's just making the shitstorm hit harder at Roma.

L'allenatore dell'Italia under 20, Francesco Rocca, ha diramato le convocazioni per i Giochi del Mediterraneo; tra i convocati ci sono anche i romanisti Crescenzi e D'Alessandro.

Il torneo under 20 si disputerá tra il 25 giugno ed il 5 luglio e nel gruppo degli azzurini, teste di serie ci sono anche Grecia e Siria.
