Report: Inter To Sign Chelsea’s Ricardo Carvalho & Twente’s Marko Arnautovic Next Week

The Portuguese defender will complete a loan move to the Nerazzurri tomorrow, while the striker is expected to sign on the dotted line on Thursday...

The new Inter for 2009-10 is taking shape and Sport Mediaset claims that the Serie A giants will finalise their first two acquisitions of the off-season over the next few days, with centre-back Ricardo Carvalho joining from Chelsea and highly-rated striker Marko Arnautovic arriving from Eredivisie champions Twente.

The Portuguese defender expressed his desire to leave the Blues this week, after enduring a difficult season at Stamford Bridge, and is keen to reunite with compatriot Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes is, in fact, the man pulling the strings to take Carvalho to the San Siro and the D-Day could arrive as soon as tomorrow.

Inter will sign the 31-year-old on loan for €2 million with an option to make the move permanent next summer for a total of €7-8m.

Meanwhile, the Serie A champions are also continuing negotiations to land Twente hitman Marko Arnautovic.

The transfer had been delayed after the 20-year-old suffered a foot fracture, but it should be made official on Thursday.

Eto'o considers Inter swap

Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o is willing to move to Inter in exchange for Zlatan Ibrahimovic as long as he receives a five-year contract worth £10m a season.

The Cameroon international has a year left on his current deal with Barça and is in quite a negotiating position what with interest from England rising.

Eto'o has been valued at around £20m and is reluctant to leave the European champions, but would do so if it were to become worth his while.

“To obtain the 'yes' of Samuel there is need of a golden handshake and a remuneration equal to that received by Ibrahimovic,â€

In regards to the ibra talk, I don't what him here anymore. I can see him leaving, I just can't see eto'o coming here though.

What's happening with our transfer market? We started with a bang signing Milito and Motta but after that there has been nothing concrete. It looks like we have gone of the boil, I was hoping we would make the signings asap so that we don't have another Quaresma this season.

I really doubt if there is any truth in it but I would love to see this guy at Inter

Il nome è di quelli che stuzzicano la fantasia dei tifosi, è giovane, italiano, pimpante e voglioso di rientrare in un campionato che solo un paio d'anni fa lo aveva snobbato come un giocatore qualsiasi: è Giuseppe Rossi, tornato alla ribalta con il suo primo gol in Nazionale sabato a Pisa, e le voci di mercato riguardo un suo addio al Villareal si affollano sempre di più.

Secondo il quotidiano spagnolo El Correo Digital, Inter e Genoa sarebbero fortemente interessate a 'Pepito', in particolare i nerazzurri, con un giocatore come lui troverebbero una seconda punta di livello, giovane ma soprattutto di nazionalità italiana con crescita in un altro vivaio, requisito fondamentale per la Champions League del prossimo anno. Però, il talento ex Parma interesserebbe anche a Manchester City e Arsenal, anche se la sua voglia di rientrare in Italia, magari in un club prestigioso come l'Inter, potrebbe essere determinante nell'ambito di una trattativa. Il costo del suo cartellino però potrebbe essere proibitivo, dal momento che il Villareal non si lascerà sfuggire l'occaisone di aprire un'asta milionaria.

Frank, our current problem is exactly what you mentioned in your post. The Motta & Milito transfers & Quaresma.. Quaresma has still not accepted to play for Genoa, therefore the Milito & Motta transfers aren’t concluded as yet. If Quaresma doesn’t accept to go to Genoa, we’ll have to either find an alternative player (like Obinna, but Genoa aren’t that stupid to offer 10M for Obinna) or else we’ll have to pay another 10M cash. You do understand that before we can settle this deal, we cannot focus on other transfers as we would not know exactly how much money we’ll have left to spend. If Quaresma doesn’t go, we’ll most probably have to not buy Arnautovic or get a less expensive midfielder than what we were thinking. Also there is the Ibra question mark. What happens if we plan our transfer market with Ibra, then he leaves?
Also Arnautovic has his second medical on Thursday, therefore we’ll have to wait till after that too.

I don't see the Ibrahimvoic situation being resolved anytime soon. No club is making the right noises about him and the number of clubs that can afford him are 3 or 4 (if Man U are included).

What I am afraid of is that we may lose our targets waiting for this situation to get resolved. Tevez seems to be on his way to Man City, D'Agostino (though not a big name) is going to Juve.

Don't we have 60m to spend? The big name midfielder should come irrespective of whether we keep or sell Ibra. If Ibra goes probably we can add another young midfielder like Galloppa and strikers like Rossi.

The main current problem is Quaresma, Frank not Ibra. Once we resolve his situation we'll have a better idea on which targets to focus on and how much spending power we have. We are not Real Madrid, 10M euros does make a difference in our budget.

Barcelona & Zlatan Ibrahimovic Reach Agreement - Spanish Media

A deal for Barcelona to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been agreed, and all that is missing for the transfer to become official is for Samuel Eto'o to give his okay to move the other way...

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be on his way to Barcelona after the European champions reached a deal with Inter, but the move depends on whether Samuel Eto'o agrees to the other way, according to a report.

El Mundo Deportivo state that days of negotiating have produced an agreement that would see the Italian outfit receive €10 million plus the services of the Cameroonian striker.

That is a lot lower than Inter president Massimo Moratti is reported to have wanted when he dined in Barcelona with Blaugrana chief Joan Laporta last week, when he asked for Eto'o and €40m.

Ibrahimovic is keen to make the transfer because he believes that he will have more chance of winning the Champions League at Camp Nou than he would if he stays at the San Siro, the report claims.

On the flip side, Eto'o will only make the move simple if his wage demands are met and Inter may him the €65m over five seasons that he is believed to have asked for.

During talks with Barcelona on Monday, Eto'o's representative did not reach an agreement with the club to stay or go and that has left his next move up in the air.

Last summer coach Pep Guardiola told the former Real Mallorca star on his list that he was not wanted and could leave along with Deco and Ronaldinho, but the player was transformed in pre-season training and earned his place in the squad.

That move paid dividends, but the new trainer was alleged to have been considering looking for a player with Ibrahimovic's physique to lead his front line and he may now have landed him.

Laporta has stated that he would keep Eto'o if it was down to him, but he was full of praise for what Ronaldinho had done for the club in the months leading up to his departure.

Journalists in Catalunya have been surprised by the lack of movement at Camp Nou so far this summer, given that last term the club moved quickly to wrap up their activity before the main holidays.

Ibra move to Barça 'done'

A deal has been done that will see Inter striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic move to Barcelona in exchange for Samuel Eto'o and £10m, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish newspaper believes an announcement will be made on June 30 once the board have formally ratified the transfer.

Ibrahimovic has publicly expressed his desire to leave Inter and at the same time taken to praising European champions Barcelona.

Last week, he called their style of football 'futuristic' and drew compliments from Blaugrana Coach Pep Guardiola.

The 27-year-old Swede no longer feels Inter can help him become recognised as the best player in the world.

He feels he needs to win the Champions League, which Inter haven't won since 1965 when Helenio Herrera was at the helm.

Ibrahimovic is coming off his best ever season in Italy, after scoring 25 goals in Serie A, making him Capocannoniere.

Maicon won't leave, he's just having a whinge because we're focusing just on Ibra atm. By the way, if we sell Ibra for 10 mil plus Eto'o, what a fucking bullshit deal that is. The money should've been at least 25 million so fuck that. I'm not liking the way the market is looking atm..
