^I agree with the above few posts. Even if Ferrara does not live up to expectations, at the end of next season we will have Conte with Serie A experience, Gasperini with Europan experience, and Prandelli with even more experience to choose from. As things stand today, Ferrara would be the ideal choice. Even if he fails, we will know it was a risk worth taking, and the board should have no regrets for choosing him. We will love Ciro nonetheless.

Ferrara pens Juve deal

According to the latest reports from Italy, Ciro Ferrara has put pen to paper on a one year deal with Juventus and is set to be the Bianconeri boss next season.

These reports from RAI Italia, which are yet to be confirmed, also reveal that the Old Lady’s Board took this decision after Luciano Spalletti reached an agreement with Roma to stay at the Olimpico.

Yesterday, Italy boss Marcello Lippi had confirmed he would allow Ferrara to leave La Nazionale if he was to take the Juve job.

Former Bianconeri goalkeeper Angelo Peruzzi should be the first member of the staff to be unveiled.

Juventus sacked Claudio Ranieri on May 18 after a poor run of seven games without a victory and placed Ciro Ferrara in charge for the final two games of the Serie A season, however, the 'Tinkerman' has hit out at the Old Lady and their new coach.

Ferrara went on to take maximum points with wins over Siena and Lazio to secure a second-place finish, however, Ranieri was far from impressed.

Just coincidence that he was only confirmed after Conte and especially Spalletti committed to their current clubs, then?

I'm not convinced.

I think there is a shortage of top coaches around, so Ferrara has been given a chance to prove himself and things will be re-evaluated in a years time.
