Cobolli: Youngsters are our future

During the awards ceremony for the Primavera tournament, Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli claimed youngsters are the future of the club.

The Bianconeri, which can already count on several youth-team products such as Sebastian Giovinco, Paolo De Ceglie and Claudio Marchisio, are hoping to increase the number of home grown players in their squad.

“Our youth ranks represent the future of Juventus and that is also one of the reasons why we picked Ciro Ferrara as our new boss,â€

What's with that weird handshake? It looks like Blanc and Melo are shaking hands and Gigli couldn't wait his turn. He just awkwardly put his hand on top of theirs to create some sort of handshake protector.

Serie A fixtures : Juventus – Milan on the last day

The wait is over: the fixtures of the 2009/10 Serie A have been drawn at the coni building. The first match will see the bianconeri hosting Chievo at the Olimpico in Turin. It will be the Olimpico in Rome however to host the next two matches against Roma and Lazio. The Serie A will kick-off on the 22nd and 23rd of August.

The end of the season promises to be as exciting as the start with the match against Inter on the 15th match day and the one against Milan on the very final day.

Wow, The Waterboy fucked up that penalty. Poor Buffon actually saved a penalty, only to go out like that.

The Waterboy was an arrogant bastard on the PK, and sure it was just a friendly, but still, i hope i dont this side of him during the season.

It shouldn't have even gone to penalties. Iaquinta and Trez both missed 2 good chances a piece. We were clinical in the first 3 games of the tournament, but for some reason we couldn't finish our chances. I still don't know how Iaquinta put that header wide in the first half.

I'll never understand why professionals just don't go up stairs on penalties. Even if the goalie guesses the right way, if your placement is good he can't stop it. Either go up stairs or hit it hard on the ground. DP's penalty was by far the worst penalty I've ever seen.
