MILAN DELAY ANCELOTTI DECISION

AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi insists no decision has yet been taken over Carlo Ancelotti's future. Ancelotti, who is under contract at the San Siro for a further year, has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea this summer. The Rossoneri had been expected to make an announcement on Monday about who would be at the helm next season, but Sunday's 3-2 defeat to Roma forced the club to postpone the announcement for a further week.

And Berlusconi claims the decision has not yet been made.

"Milan has not yet made a coaching choice," he said. "We have decided alongside Ancelotti, who is a serious individual and part of the family, that at the end of the campaign we will sit down and take a decision together."

Milan travel to Florence next weekend to meet Fiorentina on the final day of the campaign with automatic Champions League qualification at stake. The third-placed Rossoneri are level on 71 points with Juventus in second, while Fiorentina are three points behind them in the standings.

Milan patron Silvio Berlusconi could be forced to sell Kaka by his own family as they want better financial stability at the club, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport.

The Brazilian ace is one of Serie A's highest paid players. However, Berlusconi recently bemoaned the impact of paying high wages, leading to speculation that Kaka is to be put up for sale.

"There are two reasons [wages have become increasingly difficult to maintain]," Berlusconi told Radio Radio as reported by Il Corriere Dello Sport. “One is petrodollars. Ever since this money has entered football, player wages have increased, and it has been difficult to sustain them.

"The second is that the taxes in Spain affect wages less."

Berlusconi's words seem to suggest that the club is struggling to continue paying mega-wages for players in order to stop them from joining football's money men.

The report suggests Berlusconi's daughter, Marina, is pushing for her father to sell Kaka in order to obtain a €70 million return for him as they try to ease the financial strain.

Real Madrid have recently been linked with the Brazilian star, however, Milan and Kaka have maintained that their marriage is set to continue.

Leonardo will be presented as the new Coach of Milan next Monday, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. It looks ever more likely that Carlo Ancelotti's long reign will come to an end this summer as Chelsea look to tempt him to Stamford Bridge.

Milan have been keen to prevent excessive speculation before their final game of the season against Fiorentina, but an announcement is expected soon after the 2008-09 campaign concludes.

A number of names have been linked with the prestigious hot seat, including those of Cagliari boss Massimiliano Allegri, Roma's Luciano Spalletti and former Holland tactician Marco Van Basten.

But, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Milan directors have decided on an internal solution and will call upon director Leonardo. Mauro Tassotti is likely to be named as his assistant with Filippo Galli taking charge of the youth team. The Rossoneri are also expected to reshuffle their medical team, who have been much maligned in recent times.
