Lo ha detto Vinicio Fioranelli, l'agente Fifa che guida la cordata svizzero-tedesca che sta cercando di rilevare la quota di maggioranza dell'As Roma. Oggi Fioranelli e' stato sentito per oltre due ore dalla Consob. ''Siamo in una fase in cui dobbiamo fare le nostre valutazioni - ha aggiunto l'agente Fifa intercettato da Romanews.eu -. E una volta avute le idee chiare si puo' fare chiarezza. Una cosa deve essere chiara, nessuno cerca una piattaforma per farsi pubblicita'. In questo progetto sono coinvolte persone di grandissimo spessore professionale. Gente molto, molto seria. E non posso aggiungere altro. Credo che la discrezione sottolinei la serieta' del progetto che, ripeto, e' una dimostrazione di solidarieta' verso la famiglia Sensi. Sono l'ultimo che li vuole mettere a disagio''. Precisando che per l'operazione ''non abbiamo scadenze'', Fioranelli ha ribadito la serieta' del progetto: ''E' un impegno che mi mette di fronte a grandi responsabilita' nei confronti della citta', dei tifosi, dei giornalisti. Siamo consapevoli si tratti di un impegno importante, queste cose non si fanno alzandosi una mattina. Siamo valutando, vedremo, una decisione verra' presa''. Dall'agente Fifa e dalla cordata da lui guidata solo stima nei confronti della famiglia Sensi che ''merita un grande elogio dai romani. Hanno dato tantissimo a questa squadra, non solo capitali importanti, ma ha dato passione, l'anima. Il fatto che non abbia parlato con loro non e' perche' non mi hanno cercato, ma solo perche' ci sono degli obblighi, e' una societa' quotata in Borsa e bisogna comportarsi con rispetto delle regole, delle norme. Ma siccome mi sento un po' in colpa nei confronti dei Sensi, perche' mi rendo conto sia una situazione non bella anche per loro, probabilmente un po' di chiarezza avrebbe aiutato''. Infine, una battuta sul mercato nel caso in cui l'operazione dovesse andare a buon fine: ''Se dovessimo prendere la Roma sappiamo quali sono le nostre responsabilita', pertanto non deluderemo nessuno''.

Well, it seems Fioranelli is very good with the media. He is saying all the right things is he not? He is even sucking up to Rosella. I doubt that will make her happy about being forced to sell her shares but I personally do not care. You can't sweet talk this bitch. If we are only left with Fioranelli, then all of us have to welcome this change in ownership. First order of business after we send Rosella packing is to fire Prade', and everybody loyal to Rosella. Other than Bruno Conti, everyone should go. A new beginning is what we need.

Soccer agent confirms Swiss group's interest in AS Roma

ROME, May 23 – Soccer agent Vinicio Fioranelli says the Swiss consortium he represents is keen to buy Italian club AS Roma, but the outlook for the deal remains clouded. Serie A side Roma, owned by oil storage company Italpetroli and the Sensi family, have missed out on the lucrative Champions League for next season and fans have demanded fresh investment. However, Fioranelli said the situation was complicated.

"We have the opportunity to move forward but it doesn't depend on the Sensi family, more on us," Fioranelli told reporters late on Friday. "It is not that we don't want clarity, the situation will become clear when it is clear. But things are not clear at the moment."

Roma said in a statement last week they were aware of interest but that the group had not shown enough financial resources for "the maintenance and competitive level of the club". Runners-up in Serie A last season, Roma have been the subject of interest for several years and earlier this month pharmaceutical magnate Francesco Angelini said he wanted to buy 60 or 70 percent of the listed club's shares.

Right, I'm off out for the day, hope to be back well in time for the match tomorrow. There's a bit of an oul rugby game on today in which the Irish can claim yet more glory. Good that we have Juan back (about time really), and Baptista is included in the squad despite pulling up with a thigh strain, he will probably be on the bench. And despite it being a momentous occasion on what is the last home game for the great Maldini, it will be Vucinic who lights the San Siro up as he loves playing there and will be on form with a hat-trick or three. You know it makes sense.

Unfortunately I can add very little to you guys' posts except to say after reading around several different sources from Il Messaggero, TuttoMercato, Romanews, and Sport Mediaset to Popolo Giallorosso...

Volker Fick is German (not to be confused with the Flick family) and is a partner of Fioranelli.

Fioranelli apparently does have ample funds to successfully buy in, irrespective of a statement to the contrary by la Sensi.

Lastly, perhaps something and nothing, possibly already covered by Gio's comments on the stock market. Fioranelli has said more than once he wants to make his move at a time of his own choosing and he does not want to court publicity. This tells me that we may have to keep our breath held even after the Torino game which seems to be the general consensus of opinion of an official announcement.

But to this afternoon. As aba says, we have a couple of lovely 3-3 games to remember. We know there will be goals because quite aside from anything else, Artur is what he is...we must hope we can score as many as Milan, then not lose to Torino in our final game. Losing out to Palermo over the Europa League at this late stage may affect our summer transfer prospects even if we do get our wealthy benefactor to save us from Our Lady's clutches! The EL may be a bit of a "Mickey Mouse" tournament by comparison to the CL but it's still worth competing in!
