You shouldn’t rely that much on what the IostoconMancini blog says Briz. Maybe they are right, but we just have to see how it turns out. I don’t think we could really aim for Hamsik. He would have cost us 30M on his own, at least and to be honest he’s only offered a good 3-4 months this year. After Christmas he totally disappeared like the rest of the Napoli team. Inler is a good player, but what has he done better than Thiago Motta? Motta is not a reject from Barca as such. Had he not had those dramatic injuries, he would still be a Barca player IMO. Maybe not a starter, cause now they have Iniesta in there, but certainly a very valuable midfielder. Milito has never played in the CL true, but he’s been very good wherever he went. IMO he has always been a highly underrated striker. A little like Luca Toni. He entered the CL scene only after he reached his 30’s but surely one cannot say he aint a top striker. With regards to Arnautovic, his agent today confirmed that Inter will be paying something around 8M euros for him. Isn’t that an extremely good transfer? He’s only 20 and has an enormous margin of improvement infront of him. In 2-3 years time, his value will probably be more than 20M. Also, Acquafresca has been valued 14M in this transfer. Imo he is not worth more than 7-8M, so that too is a good piece of bargain. All in all I am still waiting for a confirmation with regards to the Hernanes deal, as I suppose we wont be getting Fabregas. Then the central defender who can push our defence line more forward to the centre of the pitch. Till now, considering the circumstances I am happy. We cant really aim for the Benzema’s, Aguero’s or the Cristiano Ronaldo’s, so these buys at least leave us in a comfortable position for another Scudetto next year. The CL will be out of our reach whatever we do this year IMO. Man Utd, Barca, Chelsea & Liverfekkin'wankscum are too much ahead of us. We are simply in the building process.

Briz, as far as I am concerned I am quite happy with Milito and Motta. As you say they are replacements for Crespo and Vieria but I consider it as a step forward. I am not sure of Milito but I am sure that Motta will come good. Btw, they are not meant to be first team players we are just replacing the dead wood with better players for the bench.

To plug the holes in the first team, we need a deep lying playmaker and a defender (as mou puts it, a player who can bring the ball out of the defence) are all we need. If we can get world class players for those positions I would be more than happy. I think this is just the beginning, the rest and the most important buys are yet to come (or that's what I hope).

We surely won't be winning the CL next season but I think the plan is to build a team that can in the near future. That's the reason we are looking at younger players but at the same time I don't expect another elimination at the round of 16. We need to proceed further at least to the semis or quarters.

Loll I’m not at all in love with Milito, but I regard him as the cheapest and safest alternative to Cruz & Crespo. I would have loved to have Benzema or Aguero instead of Milito but the reality is that we cannot afford them.
Motta is an injury prone player. Maybe he’ll crack like he did many other times, but maybe not. It could be Hamsik for example who cracks out for 6 months, who knows? I’m not blind, if I was to choose I would take Aguero instead of Milito, Tevez instead of Arnautovic, Gerrard instead of Motta, Fabregas instead of Hernanes….and so on and so forth. But can we get to these players? Can we afford them? Do these players want a move out to Inter? That’s the problem. Italian clubs had to adapt themselves at not being able to get these stars. Maybe Inler would have been a good transfer but has he really convinced you that much? I mean to be honest, when fit I would rather have Motta than Inler.
With regards to Suazo, I know he had scored 19 goals that season with Cagliari (yet another reason why Acquafresca aint good enough for us), but lets not be blind. The characteristics of Suazo are much more different from Milito and Milito has played extremely well even in Spain, where if I’m not mistaken he was also the top goalscorer at one point with Zaragoza. He came back to Genoa and was once again a star. He is not a one hit wonder. Then surely we will not get a penny out of him once he reaches 33-34 years of age, but its not like we have to buy players in order to get money out of them. Inler like Motta doesn’t shift our potential. Hamsik had a horrendous last 5 months of the season…No big difference between them except that Hamsik+Inler would have cost us 45+ M (Hamsik is valued 30M & Inler 16M), whereas Motta & Milito costed us 33M.

The two players Mourinho has mentioned below are the players that will slot into the starting 11, not milito and motta. So, lets wait and see whom we get to fill those two roles before judging Mourinho.

Inter's Jose Mourinho: 99.9 Percent Chance I Will Not Join Real Madrid

'The Special One' leaves just a little room for error concerning his future with the Nerazzurri, as he continues to be allegedly be pursued by Real Madrid...

Inter boss Jose Mourinho recently secured the Scudetto in his first attempt in Serie A and Real Madrid presidential candidate Florentino Perez has his eye on the Portuguese tactician.

The ex-Chelsea coach has not endeared himself to many of his coaching colleagues or the press in Italy with some of his statements and some have suggested he may jump at the chance to take over the La Liga giants.

Inter director Gabriele Oriali has already slammed Real Madrid for allegedly attempting to contact Mourinho directly and now the newly crowned Scudetto winner has given his own take on the situation.

"I will stay with Inter 99.9 per cent," Mourinho explained to Sky, leaving room for the extremely slight chance he could leave this summer. "Whoever coaches [Real Madrid] is lucky."
