Pauly, Tuna, 'Moldo, Frenchy...

I also want Panucci to stay. He has at very least one productive season left in him and if he and our mister are the true professionals we expect them to be then for the good of all they will tolerate each other and work together.

As for resolving our other many problems, we have two options...one involving change and the other to manage as best we can. It's rumoured a formal offer to buy the business named AS Roma will arrive this Friday. We can hope but until an offer is actually accepted we must assume we are continuing on an "as is" basis with all its implications.

Which is why I've taken to posting what's in kindness best described as light hearted nonsense from Mediaset and Romanews...

At least it's a distraction from the indefinite even if it's a load of

Humour us! Suggest better within our budget and let's not forget that as things are it's a pittance because there still hasn't been an offer accepted that will buy us out of Our Lady's clutches!

In principle, I agree with Vince 100%. Sadly, we don't have enough money to do things we would principally want to.

Then again, seeing how we won't be in CL next year, I wouldn't mind bringing back Andreolli and blooding another CB/some of our youth players. If someone gives you lemons, make lemonade. Ok, wait that was a shitty analogy. How about, every cloud has a silver lining.

If someone gives you lemons, give them oranges back and tell them the hit is on. I have to confess I'm torn on Panucci. I've been meaning to ask theoffsideers, though, whether they still stand by their initial claim that his actions in January would hurt him more than the club. No doubt he'd have liked to have played in the games against Arsewipe, but I think his absence hurt us rather more.

'Moldo, I'm sure you've noted I've based my case on the fact that as yet we are still owned by a pig in knickers to use a very English phrase and as such are one stage removed from being flat broke! If we had the finance I'd probably keep De Rossi, Totti, Vuci, Pizza, Aqui, Juan and Brighi of our accepted senior squad and throw the rest out, keeping only those few promising youngsters such as D'Alessandro in addition to the above names!

If it wasn't for Panucci we'd have dropped 2 more points last Sunday...that doesn't mean I want a 35 year old central defender or right back next season as my automatic first choice, I mean he will be used as and when required and as such I consider he will do us a service...would you and Vincenzo rather see Loria play instead?

As you say, some good may come of our situation given we may very well have to throw a number of our primavere in at the deep end as next season develops, just to make a team...the possible proverbial blessing in disguise or your silver lined cloud! If our Messiah fails to materialise...

Tommaso, questionable temperament or not, the only way we can do without Panucci is to buy an adequate replacement. As you observed, it's a proven point the team has suffered without him!

Yes Panucci has saved us with numerous late goals, some this season and a bunch last season. It's as if his head is a magnet for attacking corner kicks in the last 10 minutes of a game. But we cannot underestimate how big his outburst was and at the worst time of the season. Sure it helped us get Motta (I think - this could be a god send in the long run), but it sure hurt team stability and Spalletti's credibility at a critical point in time and made him/the organization make some tough choices at a less than opportune time.

New jersey are out...not impressed by Kappa. It seems that the material used this year and for next one is quite different than the ones before. It doesn't look as nice anyway.

The white one is great! Kind of old school with the stripes across the chest. The black one with the wolf patch is nice too.

Regarding Panucci, if the take-over deal(s)? fall through, and our transfer kitty is 0 as per usual, then Panucci should stay. He has bailed us out with one of those trademark header too may times for me to brush him aside. Plus, he is a steady performer (when he is not on his period).

I totally agree with your comments on Panucci Smiley. He'll be still needed I am sure.

Regarding the jersey, they are not so different from this previous season apart the white one that for sure will look nice on the players.
That material however is not as nice as the one in 2007-2008.
2008-2009 and this new version looks cheap...like it is thinner or I don't know...
Diadora material looked better too.

No, No, No to Panucci. A year older means a year closer to menopause...And comparing any possible replacement to Loria isn't fair in the least. His actions are a large reason why we didn't advance in the CL...keeping in mind that Arsenal drew Villareal, we may have had a chance to make it to the semis. It's unforgivable...he can rot with the rest of the vecc's at Milan.

I like the white jersey as well...the red is probably too similar to our current shirts, but I've never been one to care much about how nice/ugly our shirts are.

As far our transfer window is concerned, signing Guberti is a must to give the mid. a bunch more pace.

They general mercato plan should be to get younger but more talented.

If we are looking to save some coin, we should sell Doni and buy back half of Curci.

D -
The starting D should be set for next year. Let's bring back Antunes and Andreolli as a 4th CB but we should be making a strong 3rd CB purchase. Cassetti and Tonetto walk and we go with Cicinho and Motta on the right. Diamoutene and Loria take a walk as well. Crescenzi may be more serviceable.

M -
Guberti seems like a must. A healthy Aquilani is like bringing in a new player altogether. De Rossi, Brighi and Perrotta should be improved next year. Pizarro will be an important piece to keep....I think an aggressive attacking mid like Rosina would fit in well also and give us a bit of flexibility in terms of the formation.

F -
Baptista probably needs to go...Vuch, Totti and Menez need support from Okaka I believe....Montella NEEDS TO BE SHOT. Depending on whether or not we are sold, we could be OK with strikers.
