Sure they have done good, but they have done more harm to the masses based on what they sell to us, all of that tasty stuff, but beginning in the 90’s and today, their clear objective is profit. Most people like you might see it as custumer satisfaction, due to its convenience and prices.

The darker side implies what most of us don’t know about McD’s, such as their hiring and employment practices, their means of offering what you call, “basic food packaged in a convenient form, sold at enormous value for the money that has tremendous family appeal.â€

I think 'moldy's conflating the Totti-to-Samp and DDR-to-Chievo sagas. His point, of course, is just that even with Roman owners we were very close at one stage or another to selling Totti and DDR, the two Roman pillars of this side.

Ok then, whatever, I was on the doss for most of globalisation class in school, you could say, and for business and economics class as well, to be honest. That was my understanding of the situation here anyway.
