Report: Maxwell To Pen New Inter Deal
The Brazilian wing-back will re-open talks with the Beneamata to extend his stay in Italy’s fashion capital until 2013.

Maxwell had looked set to depart the Stadio San Siro this summer after developing a fractious rapport with Inter coach Jose Mourinho and being pushed out of the starting line-up by the emergence of youth product Davide Santon.
However, the 27-year-old is now said to have patched things up with the former Chelsea boss and has instructed his agent, Mino Raiola, to resume talks with the club over a new deal.

Raiola is expected to fly in over the next few days to meet with the Via Durini directors and the ex-Ajax man should commit to the Nerazzurri until June 2013, according to the Corriere dello Sport.

There had been suggestions that Maxwell could defect to local rivals Milan, however, the defender is now apparently committed to extending his adventure with Inter after clear-the-air talks with Mourinho.

Even though Maxwell has not started a game in Serie A in almost a month, the left-back featured in the return leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final with Sampdoria and has not been left out of the squad in recent weeks.

Roma Have Concerns Over The Future Of Star Players – Reports

A number of media sources in Italy are indicating that the Giallorossi are in stress mode at present.

Roma’s failure to score against Chievo at the weekend means that the goalless result has ended any hope they had of achieving Champions League qualification next season.

At this point in time they are eight points behind the fourth-placed Fiorentina, and despite it still being a mathematical possibility, with just four matches remaining their chances are extremely slim.

As a result of this disappointment, it has been reported lately that several of their stars may seek Champions League football elsewhere next term.

According to the latest reports from a number of Italian media sources, such as Corriere dello Sport and TMW, the Giallorossi hierarchy are well aware of this issue. Their biggest concern at present is Daniele De Rossi, who has been tracked by Jose Mourinho’s Inter for the large part of the campaign.

De Rossi is seen as a future captain of the club, once Francesco Totti decides to hang up the boots, of course, but Mourinho recently labelled him as the perfect addition to the Nerazzurri squad.

It will be an interesting summer for the Lupi, as they prepare for life without the Champions League next season.

Zlatan not leaving Inter

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's agent insists his client will remain at Inter Milan despite persistent speculation suggesting otherwise.

The Swedish forward is a reported target of Primera Liga club Real Madrid.

However, Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola has put an end to those rumours.

He said: "I would bet one million euros against those who say that everything (with Real Madrid) is done.

"Real Madrid still have to hold presidential elections and Ibrahimovic would only leave if Inter wanted to sell him.

"The conditions are just not there right now for Zlatan to leave Inter."

Ibrahimovic leads the Serie A scoring charts with 21 goals alongside Bologna's Marco Di Vaio.

The 27-year-old is under contract with the Nerazzurri until June 2010 and Raiola has reiterated that Ibrahimovic is happy with the three-time defending Italian champions.

"Zlatan is not a prisoner of his contract with Inter," he said.

"Zlatan is a sincere and spontaneous lad and if he wants to say something, he would just come out and say it.

"If he wanted to leave he would say it loud and clear."

This guy (he seems to be an 'expert' on transfers) says that Milito & Hernanes are already practically Inter players. With regards to Milito all there needs is officiality, whereas Hernanes we've already agreed with the player, now we need to find an agreement with his club, but the end is near.

Whether his words count for anything is yet to be seen......

I am not sure of Milito's deal but Brazilian clubs can't do much when a player wants to leave. At some point they have to agree to a fee.

Milito may decide to stay on if Genoa qualify for the Champions League as he is the main star there. If he comes to Inter he will be one among the pack.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made a pact with Inter President Massimo Moratti to only leave the club for a whopping £70m, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 27-year-old Sweden striker has been unhappy at San Siro ever since the Nerazzurri were knocked out of the Champions League.

He wants to join a club that has a chancing of winning it, so he can also be in contention for the prestigious Ballon d'Or.

Last Tuesday, Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola reportedly met with Inter director of sport Marco Branca to discuss the situation.

Moratti entered the talks yesterday, insisting the former Ajax star will only be allowed to leave for a fee of around £70m.

Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are the two clubs said to be showing a serious interest in signing Ibrahimovic.

The player could yet stay in Italy, according to Raiola, as long as Inter convince him they can help realise his objectives.

Roma Close To Deal For Inter Striker Julio Cruz - Report

'El Jardinero' could be on his way to the Eternal City...

Roma are closing in on Inter striker Julio Cruz, who could be their first acquisition for next season, according to Sky Sports.

The Argentine's contract expires at the end of the current campaign and he is unlikely to be offered a new deal by the Nerazzurri, as he has rarely featured under coach Jose Mourinho.

Just yesterday, the player's agent admitted plenty of clubs were after Cruz and it appears the Giallorossi are willing to offer him the best deal with a two-year contract worth €2.5 million a season.

The former Feyenoord star has fallen behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mario Balotelli, in the pecking order this season, but due to his impressive scoring rate over his career there are several sides interested in the veteran's services.

The 34-year-old hitman has only made 21 appearances for Inter in all competitions this season, a majority of them as a substitute, finding the back of the net three times in the process.

Inter seem to be on the brink of signing Genoa star Diego Milito, but Manchester United could hijack the deal.

Milito has been the revelation of the Serie A season with 19 goals for the Grifone since arriving from Real Zaragoza.

The Argentine's exploits have made him a target for leaders Inter, who have already begun talks.

However, Milito's agent Fernando Hidalgo was in London for the Champions League semi-final between Manchester United and Arsenal and reportedly discussed The Prince's future with the Red Devils.

Some sources suggest that Genoa have already agreed a switch with Inter worth around £16m plus co-ownership of Robert Acquafresca, but President Enrico Preziosi has denied this.

Indeed, the Rossoblu chief has suggested that Milito may stay put should Genoa secure Champions League qualification.

Inter Have Not Called Us For Antonio Cassano - Agent

The 'Talentino' has again been linked with Inter, only for his agent to shoot down the rumours...

Antonio Cassano's agent Giuseppe Bozzo has rubbished reports linking his client with an end of season switch to Inter.

The Sampdoria hitman has been closely associated with the Nerazzurri following his good season with the 'Doriani. But Bozzo has always claimed there is no deal taking place with the Milanese side.

However, Italian reports continue to claim 'Il Talentino di Bari' will be leaving Samp for the San Siro. Bozzo has stepped in to quash the rumours once again as he continues to fight off 'paper talk' on a day-to-day basis.

"I can say that I have not had contact from Inter. No-one from them has called me," Bozzo told Tuttomercatoweb.com.

"All these things are what you read in the papers. Myself and Cassano know nothing about it, and we have not been contacted by anyone."

Juventus have also been linked with an end of season move for the Italian star. Reports claimed the Turin-based side were ready to offer Sebastian Giovinco plus cash for Cassano.

What a goal by Balotelli; seems like he's scored on a regular basis in the second half of the season and is in some decent form. I'd hate to see his starting spot taken away from him next season so hopefully he becomes even better over the summer.
