Flamini was good...didn't give an inch which is what the entire team did TBH. Like you said, not as good as last game but its easy to see that he's finally comfortable in the league and hopefully is a mainstay for years to come.
Our entire backline was faultless today, not a foot wrong but then again hey weren't really tested by a piss poor Palermo side. I honestly think Maldini has at least another season left in him; even when sentiments are pushed aside he continues to be our mos consistent defender. Sure, he was a bit slow in a couple of games earlier in the season but he's been immense since the break.

I think this is kaka's best game since he got back from injury, that meg to get the second penalty....brilliant. and how about this beckham-inzaghi partnership, its proving to be really lethal, who would've thought. These crosses he keeps putting into the box with inzaghi always a threat, defenses find it hard to cope with all game and keeps the pressure up

Berlusconi plans future talks

Milan President and Italy Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi will decide Carlo Ancelotti's future at the end of the season. Ancelotti is being linked with a move away from San Siro, most notably to Chelsea or Spanish giants Real Madrid. The Milan board have reportedly grown tired of repeatedly failing to win the Scudetto and Ancelotti himself is believed to want a new challenge despite recent statements to the contrary.

David Beckham will sign a permanent contract with AC Milan in January, according to the Italian club’s coach. Beckham was meant to return to Los Angeles Galaxy last month, but Milan struck a deal with the MLS club to extend the England midfield player's short-term loan deal at the San Siro until the end of the Serie A campaign. The unique timeshare agreement will then see Beckham, 33, return to California for the rest of the MLS season at which point another stint at the Serie A club is on the agenda.

"Beckham will return to the United States and will stay there until the end of his contract, which expires in November," Ancelotti, the Milan coach, said. "Then Milan will buy him in the winter transfer market. David has proved to be an exemplary professional. I didn't expect him to play at such a high level."

Reports continue to emerge that Ancelotti will not be at Milan next season, with the 49-year-old being linked to Chelsea and Real Madrid. However, Ancelotti has reiterated his desire to remain with the Italian club.

"I will stay on for next season at least and we are already working towards strengthening the squad," he said. "I'm not going to Chelsea. I am used to all the reports and they will probably continue, but it's not a problem."

Next season will be Ancelotti's ninth in charge of Milan and will see him draw level with Nereo Rocco as the club's longest-serving manager. While he is not planning on leaving soon he has admitted that it would be a dream to coach another one of his former clubs – Roma, where he spent eight years as a player. "It is a dream that sooner or later I will realise," he said. "Roma has remained in my heart; for the people, the history that you breathe in the city, the food."

Although, I would think that the way your team is performing, it would be idiotic for Kaka to leave. The way things look to me, your team is bound to be even better next year.

AC Milan captain Paolo Maldini has turned down the chance to make a one-off comeback for Italy in their friendly with Northern Ireland on June 6.

The 40-year-old, who will retire at the end of the season, ended his international career in 2002 after collecting a record 126th cap.

"No, I will not play a farewell game with the national team," said Maldini in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I would like to thank the federation for expressing an interest.

"But I prefer to leave football with an official match because I am not a fan of farewell games."

The veteran defender will play his last game at Fiorentina on May 31, bringing to an end a 24-year career in Italy's top flight.

"I am living these last few games of my career in a calm way," said Maldini.

"I am preparing for my farewell from football without any regrets after almost 25 years in football.

"A different life awaits me."

i wouldn't be surprised; but the fact remains that dida is still one of the top earners at the club, so unless we clear him out there is no way to fit buffon on the payroll.

nevertheless, our first priority must remain a defender, then a striker (adebayor), and if there is still some gold remaining in the coffers, go for buffon.

Buffon will only be sold for a lot of cash, not for some cash and an okay 'keeper.

I don't think Milan could afford Buffon at the moment and I would hope Juve have learned their lesson about selling players to rivals.
