Maro, if someone posts the link to the Chievo game, I will look for Pizza's performance. In addition, keep in mind that its not Pizza's quality of play that I question, but like some of the other players in our squad, I question their desire to win (except for the Arsenal game, that was sheer magica), or the all out guts to overcome some sort of breakdown (for example, an opposing goal by another team). Once something goes wrong in a game, some of our players seem to lose their edge and mentally break down.

Its my impression to that the problem for this squad seems to be two things, (a) Mental strength and, (b) the finishing touch, or chances that should be converted into goals. It is my impression that we seriously lack players that can finish their job by making goals when the opportunity arises.

Imagine what a difference it would have this season if all of the chances that our players had to score goals would have gone in. As an example, does anyone remember the Arsenal game at the Olympico when Il Capitano's pass to Baptista in the 78th minute should have been converted into a goal? Similarly, many other examples can be cited. I wonder if whether the players that we have will learn to convert chances into goals, which should be a main priority for next year.

Pauly, if we mention last season also...the missed opportunities! Irrespective of who replaces Spalletti, I'd like to think a new mister would answer the prayers of most of us by making the buying of a real hit-man up front one of his first priorities...along with securing Motta, it goes without saying!

On De Rossi. There would have to be something dreadfully and irreversibly wrong behind the scenes to make our future captain go...one would think!

I know we have endured whispers and rumors regarding the sale of this club over the years. Last year in particular was one when we all thought a deal was done. But now, it appears that we may have seen the last of Rosella. At least in an official capacity. She will no longer be in a postion to make decisions. What I am saying is that I am nearly positive Roma has been sold. The Sensi ownership is now on life support. Our long nightmare may be over. Expect Rosella to receive an annual wage. After all, she needs something to do. I doubt it will be at 1 million euro per year as it is now, but she will make a nice living. So Paolino, don't worry, Rosella will be just fine. Now she will have time to be a world ambassador like she desires. She wants to meet with world leaders as she said a few years ago. But will they want to meet with her is the question.

Enter a new coach and a whole new administration to run this club like professionals. Bruno Conti will remain. Prade' is gone thank God. The rumor is that Franco Baldini may return and he will likely choose the new coach. Maybe Carlo Zampa can return to the Olimpico and Rosella's friend will be sacked.

You know, when I heard Rosella say on Sunday that she is a fan, and that she respects the fans, and that she apologises to the fans for this team's performance this year, I wanted to vomit. Of all of the things she has done that had a negative effect on the fans, and they were many, nothing was more vicious in my opinion than sending Carlo Zampa packing. That was a slap in the face of all Roma fans and it is something I will never forgive. That day, for me anyway, is when she became the bitch, the dirtbag, the stubborn and unfeeling Medusa who had the power to ruin everything positive about Roma. No other individiual in my lifetime has created more anxiety among fans, and has illicited more concentrated hatred from the most loyal fan base in the world. That is her distinction. She can live a thousand lives and she will never escape the wrath of Roma fans. As the banners read in an empty Curva Sud last Sunday, "Enough, just go".

We can write her obituary later when this all becomes official.
