I stumbled out of bed for the start of it but the shitty stream and the all round general pain in my head made it hard viewing, so I fell back into the scratcher. I'm glad I did. I take it its not worth downloading for later viewing?

I guess the fact that Sorrentino was nominated as migliore in campo says it all...no wonder we saw Romanisti banners screaming basta and ché carico di rifiuti accompanied by the predictable boos and whistles as the players trooped off.

It's not like we hadn't our chances to win. Not many I grant but we could with better finishing have got the victory. Being a realist I'd now say we should get through the remaining games as best as best we can and hope the summer break brings us closer to getting back to what we expect from la nostra magica Roma!

Zeman thinks that the strength of our squad is inferior in Italy only to Inter's. There is no excuse, then, for our efforts this season - in his eyes - and the problem is not only that our results have been so much poorer but that we've also lost our ability to play good football. No doubt we've not coped at all with the succession of injuries, but for Zeman there's no justification in blaming the efforts this season on the transfer market or the lack of funds available to spend. I tend to think he has a point. I wonder, too, whether we might have beaten Fiorentina and Chievo had Mexes and Pizarro been available for both games. The foundations aren't built right, but punks who've done such a bodge-job on the rafters need to take a bit of responsability too.
