On all this takeover talk, I'm refusing to get drawn into it all that much and not paying it much attention (although I do appreciate the updates from Gio, of course) until something substantial happens as we've seen it all before and will continue to see it over the summer, I imagine. Its the same old shit and its tiresome. I'd rather focus on Fiorentina this evening and the hope of picking up three points to keep our CL ambitions alive. It will be a very tough game, no doubt, but one we must win.

I was all ready to blame Artuuuuuuurrrr, but not much he could do about it. Our centre-half's didnt seem all that eager to close Vargas down when he got away from Motta, but I guess that can happen when you play two natural full-backs at centre-half (and leave two centre-halfs on the bench)...

This isn't looking too good, then.

Cassetti could have had a second yellow on that last action...lucky the referee seems to be good with us today.
Pizarro had a good first half I think, Brighi missed good chances. Totti same same....some nice touches but not enough to really be dangerous.

Poor first-half. We're lucky not to half conceded more, although we're also unlucky that Brighi left his shootin boots back with his missus in Rome. I think the referee has also favoured us and been very generous to us at times, and we're extremely fortunate not to have conceded at least one penalty.

Cassetti has been all over the shop and is lucky to be still on the pitch (the handball and the blatent bodycheck at the end on Jovetic, to name two incidents). He just stood there and watched the Fiorentina goal. How Spalletti choose him ahead of Diomoutene or even Loria I don't know. Taddei has been absolutely rubbish out there and should be taken off for a training cone. Totti is just not match fit and looks for protection from the ref ALL the time instead of just getting on with it and playing the fecking game. Baptista is looking menacing at times but he needs to stay on his feet and not always look to go down. He should live up to his name of the beast more and get feckin angry sometimes. Riise has red hair and is a cocksucker.

And is it just me or is Gilardino beginning to morph into Prandelli.2?

Although it is easy to talk now, his choice of playing Cassetti and not giving a chance to Diamoutene after what he has done against Arsenal is beyond me.
The guy will never give a chance and has no confidence in young players or less experienced players.
We may criticize the EPL but we have to admit that youngers do have a chance to prove themselves over there. Also, you do not see players dropping on the field like in SERIEA. Players in England play with more determination.
