Vucinic-Roma: insieme fino al 2013. Secondo il Corriere dello Sport, la firma sul rinnovo di contratto del montenegrino sarebbe ormai imminente. L'attaccante, che ora guadagna un milione di euro a stagione, arriverÃƒÂ a percepire una somma che si aggira intorno ai due milioni e mezzo (piÃƒÂ¹ premi da definire). L'accordo con Vucinic rientra in un programma di "anti-ridimensionamento" che la societÃƒÂ di Trigoria attuerÃƒÂ anche in caso di mancato accesso in Champions League. Il brindisi verrÃƒÂ ufficializzato a breve, assieme a quelli con Aquilani e Juan. Poi toccherÃƒÂ a Totti: la proprietÃƒÂ ha giÃƒÂ fatto sapere al Capitano che non ci saranno problemi per il rinnovo. Il nuovo contratto del numero dieci oscillerÃƒÂ tra i 4,5 e i 5 milioni di euro, fino al 2012.

The LitM is close to signing a new contract, at least according to il Corriere dello Sport. He will sign a four year Ã¢â€šÂ¬2.5m-a-season plus bonuses. It is expected to be made official along with new deals for Glass-Boy and Juan. This is very good news, as its likely we won't qualify for the CL, my biggest fear is that we'd be in a situation were we could see the club sell our big 'stars', mainly Vucinic*. He has caught the eye of a few big guns around Europe and I'm sure if a big offer came in Rosella and co would consider it, but at least with a new contract we can be assured he is comitted to the club and likely to stay.

* I say mainly Vucinic because you can't imagine De Rossi or Totti leaving, Mexes has demonstrated his passion and loyalty for the club on enough occasions and is as close as a foreigner you get to being a pure Romanista, so who else is there? Doni, perhaps, or Aquilani, or Menez, but the one I most feared the club looking to sell for big bucks was Mirko, so good news.

Latest whispering in Rome: Doni, Mexes, Menez, Perrotta could be be leaving. I doubt Perrotta will go but the others are on the market. Roma must pay Siena 3 million to bring back Curci. We shall see.

Why get rid of Menez now? Can we even recoup what we paid for him? Losing Mexes would be a disaster. I am going to assume Perrotta is staying.

menez wont be leaving. however, the club would be smart to invest in some training wheels for him for next season so he can at least stay on his feet whenever a breeze hits the olimpico.

I should qualify the Menez situation. He wants to leave. Of course it would be stupid to let him leave and he has to grow up a bit. I agree about Mexes. If we send him to Milan I will explode.
