Jose Mourinho's burning ambition is to lead Inter Milan to Champions League glory, but the Portuguese coach is finding it difficult to put his plan into practice. Mourinho is closing in on the Serie A title in his first season in charge of the Nerazzurri, but he shares the frustration of fans over the club's continued failures in Europe. Inter's Champions League challenge this campaign was ended by Manchester United in the last 16, and Mourinho is aware he needs to alter the mentality of his players.

"I want to change the philosophy of the club," said Mourinho. "I have spoken to the president after what happened in Manchester and again last Friday. "We will continue to speak until we are moving in the same direction, with the same philosophy. "This should not be the philosophy of Mourinho, or (Inter president Massimo) Moratti, or (Inter sporting director Marco) Branca but that of Inter."

One of the challenges Mourinho has faced in Italy is that he could not have the same spending power he enjoyed in the Premiershit.

"When I was at Chelsea, there was so much money available for the coach to put his philosophy into action," he said. "At Inter it is more difficult because I need to close a cycle and open another one."

Mourinho is already planning this summer's pre-season programme.

"I see myself at Inter next year," said Mourinho. "So much so I will travel on Friday to Los Angeles to plan our pre-season for July."

Inter travel to the Friuli stadium to meet Udinese on April 5 with a seven-point advantage over Juventus with nine games left to play.

I think english clubs can easily shell out 7m for Vieria. He was already linked with Sunderland last summer. When they could pay around 12-13m for their goalkeeper won't they pay 7m for Vieria. There are also clubs like Tottenham and Aston Villa who spend like crazy every season, especially Tottenham. Not to forget Man City.

What club could actually afford Ibra? I don't see Barca or Mat Utd spending that much on a single player but I do see Chelsea, Real Madrid and Man City being able to come up with 75 million. Maybe part exchange? I'd take Essien, Obi Mikel, Sergio Ramos (for CB not RB), Eto'o, Bojan and Anderson in a deal for Ibra plus cash..

I'd pay 1 million for us to get rid of Vieira..

I guess you guys missed the point when I said 'hypothetically'. Let's base this discussion on that, cause right now it's not realistic.

Let's assume things.

I agree with Dejan about Ibra's transfer. There is no club that could finalize a deal for Ibra for those amounts in cash. Maybe Man City would, but it doesnt make sense for him to move there, since he simply wants the CL. I think that the most probable destination right now would be Barcelona, but they will definately include Eto'o in the deal. Eto'o + 45M cash would be nice.

Barca also seem to be interested in Maxwell. If Ibra and Maxwell move to barca i think i would take hleb along with eto'o (since they won't be selling bojan, xavi or iniesta).

Hleb hasn't played that much this season and he will fit into our system really well. He can play on either wing and also as a trequartista.

Dejan, IMO Ramos is not as good as he is portrayed to be. He makes a lot of mistake sbeing at RB so he would be a disaster at CB. He cannot concentrate for the entire 90 mins, i would rather take metzelder or pepe.

I can't agree on that one, Frank. For me, Ramos is quality as he's extremely quick and strong which is what we're looking for in a CB atm. He's probably one of three players I'd take from that whole Madrid team tbh.

Hleb? Come on, Frank, that would shocking. The guys injured all the time and imo, would not add anything that Jimenez doesn't already give us (which is still nothing). But I will take Eto'o. I think they would sell Bojan, especially if they were getting Ibra in return. Ibra, Henry, Messi and Eto'o.. Seroiously.. wtf... that's like FIFA09 shit right there.

But I repeat, Ibra will be at Inter next season out of his own free will. I'll throw down money with anyone that the end result will be Mourinho talking him into staying.

Ok maybe not as shit as Jimenez but would you still rather Hleb over Diego or Hamsik? I wouldn't. In the part exchange with Barca, I'd want Eto'o and/or Bojan and the rest in cash so we can put it towards our usual spending spree.
