Ah man, I don't no what to say. There are no words I suppose. Devastated, depressed, distraught, yet ultimately proud.

Proud of a team – a bare recognition of what resembles a team – for putting in so much heart and effort and commitment into a game. So many hero's out there – Diamoutene, Totti, Brighi, Motta Pizarro, and Riise. How can I not mention Riise? The man I said I could never accept, the man who was a rock, and put in such a display – brilliant, I'm too confused and all over the shop to decide now, to know what I feel, but perhaps tomorrow.

Utterly proud, yet a lingering feeling of being robbed. We deserved it, we truly deserved it, but this is Roma, perhaps there is a curse, we take the suffering and the pain. I have to go to bed. To do something else. Sleep will help, if it will come. Its devasting, but there is pride there all the same.

I don't know - I think we were magnificent tonight. You win some, you lose some, and we deserved to win tonight but you don't always get what you deserve. If any of the English press want to trumpet the resiliance of the 'English' sides then they can suck my proverbials. I was so proud of the boys tonight. I thought the two centre-backs were outstanding as was Motta. Tonetto in about his second run-out of the season showed so much guts. Pizza and Brighi in the middle showed an impossible amount of heart. Those two alone make me so proud of that performance. They were simply fucking immense. Taddei played well. Aquilani injected some quality when he came on. Totti and Vooch ran themselves into the ground and kept going and going. Only Baptista I struggle to be affectionate towards, but he was part of a side which just worked and worked and worked and played with much more discipline and quality than we could really have ever hoped for. I know you're all gutted, but I'm at least as proud of the boys as I was when they rolled Real and Lyon. That was probably the most gutsy, mature performance I've ever seen from Roma in Europe and for me that's no little consolation.

I am absolutely fucking proud of the boys. What a team effort...what HEART! Everyone barring Baptista put on an amazing performance. I am disappointed but I know if we went through we would have just drawn fucking Manure again. Anyway lick those wounds hold your heads high and concentrate on getting a top four spot I know we can do it!

Heartbreak. That-all-too familiar heartbreak.

But we have much to be proud of in this game. Proud of the team, proud of the club, proud of the supporters and proud to be counted among them. In so many ways this doesn't feel like a loss.

I'm just glad that match is over. I've never been put so close to the edge of possibility before, and it became increasingly difficult to handle. You don't often go through experiences like that, and are always emotionally drained after them. Aren't these the days that remind us why we watch the beautiful game? Forza Roma!

This team just made its city proud, it supporters proud... and if someone on this planet can fault a display like this, then they can fuck the hell off. It strangely feels like a win... but with the drawback that we won't see these gladiators in the European stage this season again. Yes I'm heart broken... but i may have just fallen in love with this club... all over again.

I rarely quote channel4.com, but I don't think any of us can say it better right now. I am off for a long hiatus. Though we have to play for a CL spot, the season, for all intents and purposes is over. To make matters worse, I learned this week that the father of my friend Giacomo, died of a massive heart attack. You guys know Giacomo because he has been generous in giving us some information about Roma over the last 9 years.

So, I won't be going to Rome in May. I'll be there as planned in July. I'm really at a loss for words. I've been watching this team since I was around 8 years old. Over those 38 years I have seen heartbreak and consistent disappointment wrapped around 2 scudetti. I miss my Italy. I miss my friends and my family. I miss seeing Roma live every other week. I just want to go home.
