I honestly give no chance to our team...not with De Rossi and Pizarro out, Totti and Juan coming back and certainly not at their best.
What about Perrotta and Aquilani??? If at least we could count on them!!!

Don't get me wrong, I'd dearly love to see Montella score us some badly needed goals if that's what it takes! He has scored 94 goals in 215 appearances for us.

Here's a poser for you all. Can anyone here remember before which major tornament he promised to be the Azzurri's new Paolo Rossi and didn't even get one goal? Was it Euro 2000 or the 2002 World Cup...

I understand why you guys defend Montella. But I find myself being upset at the chances that he had yesterday, yet he didn't produce.

You defend him for what he has done in the past, but what has he done this season, what? He has had six or seven appearances, and at the critical minutes, with some opportunities, he hasn't done much but look lost out there, except for one game that I recall where he looked live and full of hustle trying to make plays.

You critique Menez and Baptisa and that is fine, but let's think of it in terms that those two players didn't really have "sitters" right before them (like Montella) to score a goal. As a player, isn't it worse to have the chance to score, but you don't, when others setup the plays for you?

Montella, on the other hand, had three clear cut chances, that with a bit more skill or attention, he should have scored. He practices all week, collects "webs" as we like to say, and yet can't come in and produce or do some sort of productive assists or something. He just looked utterly lost out there.

Plus, the worst is that he gets this outrageous salary. I could see if he was younger, but its time to cut the guy lose and use that money somewhere else yall.
