Inter president Massimo Moratti has opted not to reply to Claudio Ranieri's words after the Juventus coach brandished Jose Mourinho's rant as 'Inter style'.

The Roman was not impressed with what the 'Special One' said. Ranieri was furious and remarked that what Mourinho said seemed to reflect the Milanese club's style.

However, as the war of words continues to develop, Moratti has decided not to reload with ammunition, but to cease fire.

"I have no intention to comment on this," Moratti told Sky Sport Italia.

Inter did release a statement via their official website which seemed to give Mourinho full backing despite his damaging words.

Reports suggest the Nerazzurri coach could face punishment from the Italian FA over his claims, but no concrete decision has been made just yet.

Lomba, I have a feeling Augero will be a different ball game. Now that Moratti's no. 1 wish Messi is not going to leave Barca i have a feeling he has turned his attentions to Augero. And in Quaresma we have a good bargaining chip and probably Mancini too (although he played decently yesterday). I am sure we wouldn't spend crazy money on Benzema or someone else but Augero is different.

I have a feeling we will chase augero and hamsik to the death. Both of them may not end up moving here but we will chase them.

Report: Inter Patron Massimo Moratti Wants Roberto Mancini Back

According to Italian daily Il Giorno, Inter president Massimo Moratti approached Roberto Mancini a month ago with a sensational proposal to retake the reins of the Nerazzurri at the end of the current season.

Considering the way Mancini was shown the door last summer, despite guiding the Beneamata to a third straight Scudetto, it is unsurprising to hear that he was shocked by the request.

But it is suggested that it was not by chance that the 44-year-old was in the stands sitting just a few rows away from Moratti to watch Bologna - Inter at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on February 21.

‘Mancio’ has a running contract with the Via Durini-based club until 2012, with wages of €6 million per season. He apparently rejected a €9m severance package last June, but there have been reports in recent weeks that the parties were close to coming to an agreement over such a payoff.

But this was before Jose Mourinho’s seven-minute rant against the whole of Italian football. Il Giorno claims the Portuguese could leave the peninsula to return to England at the end of the season, having evidently failed to come to terms with the pressure cooker that is the Calcio world.

I love this transfer talk...Personally I'd like to see benzema in our side but I think either manure or barca have a better chance. I really think we can get aguero. No team in la liga will be able to snap him up as atletico will not sell him to rivals. This leaves serie a and premierleague. I feel that man city would be the only team that'll have the cash for him. He won't go to a club like man city - too much of a step down. Chelsea don't seem interested, arsenal can't afford him and unless liverpοοl sell to the arabs, they can't afford him either. Which leaves the serie a. Juve can't afford him, he is too young for AC, and we have the perfect enviornment for him. Plus maradonna said so!
