Pato Frustrated By Scoring 'Useless' Goals For Milan
Milan starlet Alexandre Pato is disappointed his impressive goalscoring form isn't helping his side to victory lately.

Perhaps the only positive thing about Milan's season so far has been the form of young striker Alexandre Pato, who seems destined for great things if his recent displays are anything to go by. At just 19 years of age, he is scoring goals left and right in Serie A, one of the toughest leagues in the world.

Yesterday against Sampdoria, he scored his 15th goal in all competitions for the Rossoneri this season, but once again it wasn't enough to bring them victory as their dire form continued.

"My goals aren't much use, we aren't winning, and this is what bothers me," he told the press today. "Too bad, I've already scored 15 goals this season, but many of them have been useless. To get out of this crisis we have to work hard. I am sure Milan will get out of this, and qualify for the next Champions League.

"In the first half I was too alone up front, then in the second half with [Filippo] Inzaghi's entrance it went better."

Sampdoria gained a 2-0 lead early in the second half, thanks to goals by Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini, so Pato's 80th minute header turned out to be a mere consolation goal.

Following that defeat Milan are still in third place with 48 points, but fourth-placed Fiorentina are just two points below so Carlo Ancelotti's side will have to watch their backs to maintain their position until the end of the season.

although the headline is a bit sensational, its unfortunate for pato. galliani needs to grow a sack and get the players we need.

Yeah its ridiculous to get rid of Carlo now, I dont know if anybody is implying that though. We need a change regardless of how we finish but until then I see us only getting worse with a new coach. A new coach needs time to clean up the mess, get his own players and start a project. Right now, Im just hoping Carlo can lead the shambles of a team that we have to 3rd place. We are probably the favorites at the end of the day to do it, but until then we need every single point. Also, our end-of-season is killer...home games to Roma and Juve, and away games to Udinese and Fioentina, we really need to captilize on the next few rounds as our schedule is very manageable until those last 4 games

Even a blind person can see that Pato needs to play off a striker yet Carlo somehow thinks Pato's a fucking target man, how many fucking games does he need to see that? Fucking play Pippo while he's fit, cos its not every day he is...

And it looks Fuckham is staying till end of season

Like like tec got over Seedorf quickly enough...haven't seen a post of his recently without Pato being mentioned.

And I don't understand the excuse of players motivation and winning "all there is to win"...Its not like ours are the only group of players who won all the trophies out there. Barca and Man U won everything as well but their players don't seem to need any more motivation than winning more trophies. Fuckin Inter doesn't seem to tire of racking up them Scudetti; why it is even considered that having won everything is reason to stop caring?

Fighting for third (with 3 other teams) with no chance of winning any trophy for another year and apparently no money to buy (or even keep) the players we need...yeah, we're doing great...its not like other comparable clubs are faring any better...

Beckham will share his time over the next year with Milan and LA Galaxy

(CNN) -- David Beckham will stay at AC Milan until the end of the Serie A season after a deal was reached with Los Angeles Galaxy, the Press Association reported on Friday.

Beckham has impressed during his loan spell at Italian giants Milan.

Under the agreement, the football icon will return to play for Galaxy in Major League Soccer from July until October before returning to Milan for the remainder of the next Italian season.

The last-minute agreement to effectively "timeshare" Beckham between two clubs is also reported to have been part-funded by the former England captain himself.

Beckham was due to return to the United States on March 9 after his initial loan deal expired and Milan's match against Atalanta was set to be his last.

But earlier this week Milan chairman Adriano Galliani claimed a deal allowing him to extend his stay was near.

Galliani refused to confirm the reports on Friday but said that negotiations were on the "right path."

He went on: "The crucial day for the signing could be perhaps today, tomorrow or Monday," he said.

Will Beckham be up to playing in two leagues?

Beckham has impressed since his debut for the Rossoneri in January and his form won him a recall to Fabio Capello's England squad for the friendly defeat in Spain.

Beckham, who won a record-equaling 108th cap for an outfield player in the match, is desperate to retain his place ahead of the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa for which England are well-placed to qualify.

He joined Galaxy in the summer of 2006 from Spanish giants Real Madrid in a lucrative five-year deal, but has been unable to bring them success in the MLS, missing most of his first season through injury.

Milan, knocked out of the UEFA Cup by Werder Bremen last week, will hope Beckham can help them to secure a place in the Champions League next season with coach Carlo Ancelotti under pressure for his job.

Beckham's decision to stay in Milan has found favor with his old boss at Manchester United, tender Alex Ferguson.

"It is good for him, there is no question about that because it is the right type of football," Ferguson told Press Association.

"I spoke to David when he came for dinner with us in Milan. He was hoping it was going to happen and he wanted it to happen.

"I have no doubt it is the best thing for him."
