no strikers at his disposal huh? Is Sheva injured, or has he turned into such crap that a defensive midfielder is preferred over him? When I saw the sub being made (and the look of disgust on Pippo's face when he was coming out), I figured Carlo was getting defensive to shore up the points. But no, Ambro was playing up top. The funny thing was, Milan actually looked more dangerous on the counter with him in...although that means that Milan looked capable of moving up the field as fast as Cagliari's defense was able to get back. Before the sub, even with Cagliari pushing up for the equalizer, Milan didn't even try to hit on the counter....or maybe they just weren't able to...

either way, this was a truly geriatric performance, with the exception of Flamini and Senderos. Although Flamini seemed a bit lost towards the end of the game, always ending up on his ass, trying to make plays on the back foot. But I think he deserves patience, he has the potential to be a Gattuso-lite, but with much better ball skills

flamini's passing today was spotless. but his positioning is suspect. and sometimes hes lucky not to pick up a yellow.

vtec - I don't think that's the whole story as to why Pippo came out. I'm no mind reader, so I can't say that there is a good or bad reason. Maybe he took Pippo out because he thought Pippo was gassed (whether or not he was is another story). Maybe he took Pippo out because he wanted more speed up front to take advantage of counter attack possibilities. Maybe he took Pippo out because he found out that Pippo was sleeping with his wife.

I'm very hesitant to call anyone retarded or a loser, much less someone who is much more successful in life than I am. And it's very easy to play armchair coach/boardmember/club president. Sure, his tactics and approach have become stale, but as I've said before, he's not the only or the first person in the world who has ridden a successful philosophy past its sell-by date.

Bordeaux Star Yoann Gourcuff: I Want To Return To Italy, But Not Milan
The French prodigy would like to play in Italy, but not necessarily with his current owners, the Rossoneri ...

Yoann Gourcuff could not find much playing time at AC Milan and, as a result, the young Frenchman was loaned out to Girondins de Bordeaux for the duration of this season. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has been in fine form in Ligue 1, scoring six times and completing eight assists this season.

His future has been riddled with speculation, with some sources suggesting he will remain in France and others touting him for a move to German giants Bayern Munich, whose interest was piqued due to the young midfielder’s fine showing in the Champions League.

"I want to play at a big club; I feel this is the right time now," the French international explained to sports newspaper L'Equipe.

"I would like to return to Italy. Milan or another big club – it does not matter to me. I want to measure myself in the Italian league once again."

Meanwhile, reports in the press have indicated that there is a clause in his Bordeaux contract that will allow the French side to sign him for approximately €13 million.

although the headline is deceiving, its good to see that gourcuff wants play at a higher level than where he currently is. i wouldn't be surprised if he returned. but i still think its 51-49 in favor of remaining in bordeaux.
