Yes its true, unfortunately. He hopped off the pitch during today's training, and there is a big possibility that he's miss the derby. We'll know better tomorrow. It doesnt look like a bad injury but probably he wont make it in time for sunday. In this case, Santon will definately play on the right & Maxwell/Chivu on the left.
I thought that it was to beautiful to be true when this morning I heard that practically every single player was more or less available for sunday. Too good to be true, at this point of the year.

I Am Very Happy At Atletico Madrid - Sergio Aguero

Argentine star Sergio Aguero seems to have said no to Inter and professed his love for current side Atletico Madrid, as well as his admiration for Messi...

It is no secret that Inter have been on the trail of Argentine forward Sergio Aguero, but reports in Italy say that, for now at least, the youngster is very happy in Spain.

TuttoMercatoWeb writes that he told a press conference in the Iberian capital, “I am very happy here, if a time comes when I am no longer, it will become clear and a solution will be found.

"Last year there were also rumours and interest from other clubs, but I said no. This year they have not said anything and if there is someone interested I would be the one to decide.

"So far there have not been any offers," the 20-year-old confirmed.

The speculation surrounding the youngster’s move to Milan intensified when his international manager, Diego Maradona said that Aguero would make a fine striking partner for Inter’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Maicon ruled out for Milan - Friday 13 February, 2009

It has been confirmed that Inter ace Douglas Maicon will miss the derby on Sunday and he may also skip the first date with Manchester United.

The Brazilian international had to pull out of training earlier today due to a muscular problem in his right thigh.

And Jose Mourinho faces a headache because Maicon won't be fit to face Milan in the Derby della Maddonina.

More will be known tomorrow about the extent of the talented right-back's injury, but he could be out for quite a long period.

There are suggestions that Maicon will even be forced to sit out Inter's Champions League last 16 first leg against Manchester United at San Siro on February 24.

Maicon's problems may have been exacerbated by the strain placed on him by playing in every Serie A game but one and also for Brazil against Italy on Tuesday evening.

Defensive starlet Davide Santon is likely to start in his place in the derby with Cristian Chivu on the left.

There had been fears that striker Adriano would miss out on facing Milan due to a niggling injury to his thigh.

But scans have given L'Imperatore the all clear and he now looks likely to start alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The next thing we are going to find out is that Kaka will be fit to play.

All reports say he will start the match! I think I can only watch the first half though cause I have class in the morning but I might go in late depending on what I see from the boys on the pitch. Once again, if anyone finds a decent stream for sopcast, post here please.

APPIANO GENTILE - José Mourinho dribbled the press with an unusual proposal at the start of today's pre-derby press conference, saying: "If you agree, I will tell you now with what team, module and system I will play with tomorrow. I will tell you everything, we can finish the press conference and all go home. If your questions are all about who's playing and who's not, I'll tell you everything in three minutes and we'll all have some spare time, okay?

"I have already decided my starting eleven for tomorrow's match, I'm not interested in Milan's team or if Kaka will play or not. I only have a few doubts about my bench, and this explains why many players have been called up. I have to think about the characteristics of the bench, but my team has been decided."

The press weren't amused.

Inter Fans Hail Paolo Maldini Before Milan Derby
The legendary Rossoneri’s captain proved that he is one of those few players who is respected by all fans, irrespective of which team they support.

Inter fans greeted the entrance on the pitch of the Milan team with the 'usual' jeers, except for one player: Paolo Maldini.

The Rossoneri's captain was in fact welcomed to San Siro by a very respectful banner displayed by the Nerazzurri supporters. The message on the banner said 'Per 20 anni nostro rivale, ma nella vita sempre leale' (For 20 years our opponent, but in life always loyal).

Maldini showed that he appreciated this message by applauding the Inter fans who responded by applauding back to the Italian legend.

This will be his final Derby della Madonnina, after playing in total 55 games against Inter, before he retires at the end of the season, and this episode proved yet again how respected Maldini is all over Italy by all fans of all teams.

Adriano did great today, I thought. Sure, he could of scored another 3 times but if he keeps putting in the effort he did today, the goal instinct will come back to him.

Really happy with the win. The performance was decent although I thought we let them play a bit too much and on occassion, just let Ronaldinho and Pato run at us which was dangerous. And I'm hoping I'll never have to say this again because he's one of my favourite Inter players but Cambiasso's performance today was absolutely shite; missed every single tackle on Dinho and Pato and positionally was all over the place.

And boo fucking hoo Adriano scored with a hint of handball.. didn't hear anyone complaining when we didn't get those 2 clear as fuckin day penalties vs Torino and Lecce, not to mention Kaka who was clearly offside in the first derby before Gaucho's goal.
