Oh geez! Which one of you goofballs was speaking so highly of Grygera?? He can't put a decent cross into the box. He may be DECENT defensively but he is mediocre at best when it comes to pushing forward and making a cross into the box. Juve are terrible at the fullback position and need upgrades all around, minus Chiellini. Legro is not cutting it for me anymore. Chiellini played his ass lovely. He better go to church 30 minutes before the game if he has to mark any of Chelsea's players.

Seems like everything is going as I predicted... big suprise. It was just common sense really. A little surprising to see Milan behind us at this point, but the team has no heart and no guts... all style, no substance.
It is painful to watch our team have the same problems that we had last year... lack of defensive depth, no loyalty to young players who are performing well, and a lack of influence and difference makers.
MIDFIELD
We are old. Nedved made our midfield work a few years ago with his incredible work ethic, skill and creativity. He is still good at all that things, but is not capable of carrying the torch anymore... He has lost too much. Camoranesi is injured all the time and cannot be counted on for this either. He is superb when he plays, but is not the key.
Sissoko is good at what he does, but is totally overrated by Ranieri who is completely ignorant to the fact that when Zanetti is not in the lineup our midfield has GAPING holes in it. Sissoko is a beast, but needs a disciplined player next to him. Marchisio has been the best at this (besides Zanetti), but is young and despite his good performances, Ranieri refuses to trust him. Tiago has been decent in attack and since he lowered the standard by which people judge him, if he has a decent game offensively, people get excited and completely forget the fact that he is the reason for the lack of presence in the midfield. Poulsen is the best at closing up the midfield, but is completely terrible with the ball. I would support a Poulsen-Sissoko midfield if Marchionni and Nedved weren't out wingers. Too bad they are.
Our CM should be Marchisio and Sissoko right now. Tiago is not a solution for the future... he is not the answer... and we shouldn't waste time on him. We have Marchisio, who has been good and needs to PLAY to gain in confidence and claim his spot. PLAY HIM... we have nothing to lose in that position.
DEFENSE
Without Chiellini, our defense has only one good thing... Legrottaglie. Mellberg is so bad, I don't even know where to start. I think he has been responsible for every one of the goals in the last 4 games. He is always behind the play and Legro, who is slow, has to cover for him. It is a joke. Way to not go after Stendardo who was miles better, and way to sign a completely useless Knezevic.
Grygera always should have been a BACKUP. He is better at CB than Mellberg. He is NOT useful in attack. Grygera is sound defensively and is fine sometimes, but in games like Sampdoria we need to have some one who doesn't think that floating the ball in the air somewhere around the other team's goal is a cross.
Molinaro... why? Why is he anything more than a backup? How is this guy even at Juventus? Ok... he can be a decent backup, because he is good in big games, but he is so terrible week in and week out. De Ceglie should 100% be playing right now. Ranieri is so bad I just don't know what to do anymore. I need to stop watching, but I can't. De Ceglie is slightly worse defensively, but 50x better offensively. AND! he is a serious solution for the future, and in a season where we clearly will be not winning the scudetto, we should at least be grooming out team for the future!
ATTACK
It all starts and stops with The Waterboy. If he is having a good game, we usually score at least two goals. But, usually he is tired, because he is 34, and becomes borderline useless in mid-season fixtures against teams that are just going to molest him all game since they don't have to worry about anyone else. I am not going to consider Giovinco for any position, because, despite having a positive impact in 95% of his appearance, Ranieri clearly doesn't see him as an option, so why should I? The Waterboy will be great in the Champions League and against big teams. He, as I have said at nauseaum for the past two years, should be sharing time with someone (don't even think about Giovinco... don't).
Amauri is doing really well and has show a ton of spirit and determination, but I can't help but wonder every time I see a ball roll across the goal line if Trezeguet was in, if those would be goals... you have to admit it. Amauri, despite the fact that he is not a natural goalscorer (he isn't ) cannot be criticized because his numbers are good and he has done an amazing job at the point. Iaquinta, as expected, has been totally cut out of our plans and it is sad to see this. I hope we sell Trezeguet or Vincenzo soon.
2010
Legrottaglie is still good at 32, but his abilities will not improve. We need to get a better backup for him than Mellberg, who should but used as a 4th alternate. Grygera needs to sit on the bench where he can have actual value.
Molinaro can sit behind De Ceglie and massage Ranieri's rectum while he is warming the bench. De Ceglie can be the starter at LB. If he played for Arsenal, people would be calling him the next big thing.
Knezevic can be sold. Bye bye... thanks for nothing.
Salihamidzic still has value as a backup. That is all.
Poulsen... I would keep him and sell Zanetti. I like Zanetti, but he is injured all the time and we might as well try to get something for him before he ends up like Nesta and Andrade.
Tiago is serviceable now and that is good, because no team would pay a decent amount for this underachiever. So, let's just keep this bad investment and use him for the little he is worth.
Marchisio might play well enough to earn his spot... but I am not sure he will get the trust and opportunity from Ranieri to gain the confidence he needs. He should definitely stay with us.

Marchionni is a serviceable backup that is perfect for mid-table fixtures and he doesn't demand a huge salary. He is relatively versatile... keep him.
Camoranesi could be splitting time with Giovinco-no, i'm not going to do it... Camoranesi is great, but is injury prone. When Salihamidzic is healthy, he can band-aid this wound along with Marchionni. RM is fine.
Nedved is retiring at the end of the season, and if he doesn't he will be a great backup, but this is our #1 position of interest because we do not have a backup for this position, nor is there a player that we are willing-scratch that-ABLE to play in this position.
The Waterboy is getting older and his influence is too spotty to count on every game. I understand that most fans worship players like they are the greatest things in the world, but I assure you that they are just people... some better than others... and when one goes, another comes. The Waterboy should be a backup to "someone" better. AND! Believe it or not... there are better players. He is a legend, and he can still produce legendary moments for us... but we need to start shrinking his role down.
Amauri, Trezeguet and Iaquinta... now this is just too much. Amauri has been durable and is definitely capable of being our striker. This makes Trezeguet useless, and although I prefer Trezeguet... Amauri is younger and will be good for 5 more seasons. Trez is on his way down the slide and his injuries add another turd to the toilet. If we were a club with infinite funds like Inter, I would say keep him in a Julio Cruz-type of role, but since we need money, we should probably sell him.
Iaquinta is more than capable of getting the job done if anything were to happen to Amauri. Do NOT sell Iaquinta.
TRANSFERS
I like the players we are linked with: Hamsik, Silva, Rakitic, Felipe Melo, and especially Ribery and Cassano. I doubt we will sign any of them, but because I am bored enough to dream it... I will play ball.
Hamsik would be my #1 target... well... no. Cassano would be my number one target, but since Ranieri is our manager and will never play-NOO! I am NOT! ... (ehem) Hamsik would be my #1 target. He is simply incredible, he is ready for the next step, and would be such a perfect replacement for Nedved that it is almost sickening.
If we cannot get Hamsik at SM... then Silva would be the way to go. NOT Schweinsteiger. NO. I like him, but he is NOT good enough.
Secondly... I would look into signing Ribery or Cassano. Cassano is the best player in Italy. Shutup. You are wrong if you doubt this. Quit letting your emotions blind you from the facts... Cassano is the BEST PLAYER IN ITALY. He should be signed by Juventus and started ahead of The Waterboy who will share time with him in what would be a perfect scenario. Oh my! My butt hole just puckered.
Then... I would make up for a huge mistake made last year and try to wrestle Maggio away from Napoli. I doubt this would happen if we signed Hamsik too, but Napoli have three players that I want to see at Juventus: Hamsik, Maggio and Santacroce (in that order of course).
Maggio would be an amazing Right Back. He should be starting over Zambrotta for the Azzurri right now. He is good at defending, super fast, very dangerous, and can actually cross!!!! No way!
Santacroce would be a good option at RB as well, but is better as a CB, which he wouldn't be the right fit next to the like-minded Chiellini. Legrottaglie's leadership is too valuable at this point. And, I would rather wait on Criscito for one more year, because he is the perfect CB to pair up with Chiellini.
I hear people saying De Silvestri, who is a player I like, but let me tell you guys something... Ranieri is our coach. Lorenzo will never play. The player we need to sign at RB... if not Maggio or Santacroce... should be foreign, so that Ranieri will play him.
Zabaleta is taken, Behrami is taken, Zaccardo and Mesto are Italian, Motta is taken, Drenthe might be a nice option, but would probably be too much. Ivanovic could be a good choice here (starting to consider it more and I think out loud). Bovo is Italian, so no... Coloccini is too slow... Francois Clerc is probably married to Lyon... Gallas would be too good to be true... Well...? Nothing great, but some options. I am sure we will change nothing at RB though.
So... my 2009-2010 Lineup would look something like this:

We have improved our starting 11 with upgrading two influential positions at LM and SS. We have downgraded our CM with Zanetti's departure (or maybe keep him on the bench for sentimental reasons-depends what we can get for him), but have improved our mobility and potential in the center of the pitch.
De Ceglie is a clear improvement over Molinaro. He can actually cross and is just as fast with a bit more strength. Our defense is still thin, but I don't see any great solutions out there just yet. If Chiellini or Legrottaglie get injured we will need to move Grygera to the center, NOT MELLBERG, and put the "Viking" at RB or Brazzo.
Marchionni can backup Camoranesi, while De Ceglie can shift up with Molinaro dropping in behind if need be to backup LM until the transfer period in Jan '10 where we will hopefully add some depth.
We also will want to consider adding depth through Free Agency. No, we NEED to.
Since Ranieri will never go away, we will all be able to watch our team finish 2nd and 3rd in the league and drop out emotionally from the Champions League. With Mourinho in charge of Inter now and Berlusconi showering Milan with riches, we no longer have the management in place that has the "balls" to get things done. Of all the people that left us after Calciopoli, the one that hurt the most, the most passionate lover of Juventus, was Luciano Moggi. He brought balance to the corrupt calcio galaxy.
I understand that you stupid, small-minded people choose to not look into facts and just pretend that some fictional ora that surrounds Juventus will just make everything all better, but what you don't realize is that Moggi was that fictional ora. He was the one that built this. He was the one that assembled the champions and took guys like Lippi, The Bald Algerian, The Waterboy, Buffon, Deschamps, Cannavaro... He build a winner and the only reason this team still understand how to play like champions is because of the champions we still have in the team that were birthed by Moggi.
This new regime has no idea what they are doing. They are still lapping up the last of the bounty from Moggi's teet. When players like Buffon, Nedved, Trezeguet, Camoranesi and The Waterboy are gone... this team will be like Roma. We can't keep operating on this transfer policy. We can't keep watching other teams scoop up young Italian prospects like Motta and Viviano. We can't keep neglecting Italian players for average foreigners.
Most of all... and I am going there now... I am no longer holding back my true frustration and anger...

We need to stop destroying the development of our greatest asset, Sebastian Giovinco. There is NO excuse for his lack of playing time. NO excuse. It is doing nothing but hurting his confidence, and slowing down his development. I am sure most of you don't understand how this stuff works, so to give you an example... I present to you Alexandre Pato.
Pato is a second striker who kind of didn't really fit into what Milan needed. Last year, Ancellotti didn't have faith in him (and he has an excuse because he has never played in calcio and was on 18)... so he slipped him into the lineup here and there and as a result you saw some really shotty performances from Pato. He was inconsistent, confused, and frustrated.
So, 2008-2009 season comes along and Borriello takes a spill. Pato becomes the full time starter and after a few games the kid is on fire. Along with Ambrosini, he has been the MVP of Milan this season and they will now have a 20 year old superstar on their squad for next season.
This is what we should have done with Giovinco when Camoranesi went down. We needed to use him instead of Marchionni. We needed to use Giovinco instead of The Waterboy. We need to use Giovinco, instead of Nedved. He can play in 3 positions in Ranieri's 4-4-2. He is a natural trequarista in a 4-3-1-2 and with our lack of good wingers and abundance of CM's we should have utilized this formation more this season. Hell, run the 4-3-3 even against some smaller teams.

If I had my way, like Moggi claimed, this team would be ready to be Champions already. It was a total joke the way the current management pretended like we couldn't win the scudetto yet. We need to stop destroying the development of our greatest asset, Sebastian Giovinco. There is NO excuse for his lack of playing time. NO excuse. It is doing nothing but hurting his confidence, and slowing down his development. I am sure most of you don't understand how this stuff works, so to give you an example... I present to you Alexandre Pato.
Pato is a second striker who kind of didn't really fit into what Milan needed. Last year, Ancellotti didn't have faith in him (and he has an excuse because he has never played in calcio and was on 18)... so he slipped him into the lineup here and there and as a result you saw some really shotty performances from Pato. He was inconsistent, confused, and frustrated.
So, 2008-2009 season comes along and Borriello takes a spill. Pato becomes the full time starter and after a few games the kid is on fire. Along with Ambrosini, he has been the MVP of Milan this season and they will now have a 20 year old superstar on their squad for next season.
This is what we should have done with Giovinco when Camoranesi went down. We needed to use him instead of Marchionni. We needed to use Giovinco instead of The Waterboy. We need to use Giovinco, instead of Nedved. He can play in 3 positions in Ranieri's 4-4-2. He is a natural trequarista in a 4-3-1-2 and with our lack of good wingers and abundance of CM's we should have utilized this formation more this season. Hell, run the 4-3-3 even against some smaller teams.
Tinkerman!?! My hairy arse! The guy never changes his lineups! He never scouts the other team. He just does the same thing every time. WE AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH!!!!!
If Ranieri was smart he would have been playing De Ceglie, Marchisio and Giovinco more. They are better than the players he has used already. The only reason I could see them not playing, is if we have a squad with world class players that were already backing up Camoranesi, The Waterboy and Molinaro. This is a pathetic display of team building and I am so fed up with it it is sickening.
When The Waterboy burst onto the scene, it was at the expense of Baggio. The team wasn't afraid to turn the page. To start a new chapter. Players are just players and there time comes and goes. The moment we were reborn to Serie A, a new era began. Unfortunately, the next generation was left in the crib... unfed... diapers violated.
If I had my way, like Moggi claimed, this team would be ready to be Champions already. It was a total joke the way the current management pretended like we couldn't win the scudetto yet. There is no building process in this league? You have you top teams and they win. We keep going about our transfers the wrong way, and Ranieri will keep leading us to underachievement.
This is the future.
