Interesting. I always see Napoli and Destro's names on the scorers sheet in the Primavera side but we won't know if they're any good till we loan them out I suppose. They could just be Slavkovski's after all.

Coutinho will be interesting to see; I can't remember how old he was when we bought him, 16 or 17? So that means, like Pato, he'll have to turn 18 before he can play for us right? So we'll have to wait a few years then but if he turns out anything like him, he'll be a gem for the future.

There was quite a bit of hype about Stefanovic and briz certainly had some good words about him though I only heard about him recently. We're also apparently after a Belgium under 20 International, Whitsel or something..

And lastly, Aqua still hasn't signed a new contract for Roma, right? More reports came out about him signing for us. With the amount of time this guy spends in on the sidelines, I'd rather splash our money elsewhere. Acquafresca and 20 mill for Hamsik sounds good to me or whatever it takes.

Adriano's agent has revealed that Chelsea attempted to sign his client during the January transfer window.

The Inter Milan striker was strongly linked with the Blues on numerous occasions, but it was Tottenham that appeared to be leading the race for his signature.

However, the Brazilian's representative has confirmed that discussions were held regarding a possible switch to Stamford Bridge.

Former Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari, who was relieved of his duties on Monday, had made no secret of his desire to bolster his attacking options.

He was able to bring in Portuguese winger Ricardo Quaresma on loan from Inter, but ultimately failed in his efforts to land his countryman Adriano.

"He (Scolari) really wanted Adriano, we spoke about him many times," Gilmar Rinaldi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

"But overall he spoke with Marco Branca (Inter Milan sporting director) and in the end they decided together that they would allow Adriano to remain at Inter.

"It is the ideal place for him to return to and express his best performances."

Goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano Relishing Inter Chance
The Nerazzurri have signed the Brescia custodian in a co-ownership deal and he cannot wait to start his new adventure.

Inter managed to complete the signing of former Italy Under-21 goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano from Serie B side Brescia in a co-ownership deal on transfer deadline day.

The Via Durini directors reportedly paid €3.5 million for access to the custodian’s rights and the 23-year-old is expected to join Jose Mourinho’s ranks in time for the start of next season.

This guy was supposed to be bought as of last year. We almost risked to lose out on him, had there been a serious competitor. Last year we lost out on Hamsik because we were afraid of making the bargain and now we have to at least dish out 25M to get him from Napoli.
At least now there seems to be a change in trend with regards to our transfer policy. By next year, we should have in our ranks Viviano, Santon, Balotelli & Acquafresca. 4 Italians and young too.
