I never thought of it that way maro, but i think you are right in the sense that the galaxy have squeezed as much juice out of beckham as they possibly can (if thats what you mean).

recent articles have been saying that we will sacrifice gourcuff to barcelona to keep onto beckham, and offer him a 2 year contract worth approximately 8m euros.

i wouldn't mind beckham staying, but i dont like the idea of giving up a potential world-beater in gourcuff for somebody who is past his prime in beckham. i think we need to try to bring back gourcuff at all costs, i'm sure bordeaux can cough up the 15m euros, but we have to convince the player that he'll get another chance at milan. we did it with borriello, i'm sure we'll do it with gourcuff.

also, i've been reading that berlusconi and galliani are unhappy with carlo in the way ronaldinho hasn't started the last 4 games. i agree with them. the way kaka' and pato have been playing, they basically are a striker and second striker formation. kaka' has been pushed so far up the pitch, that his play in the middle third of the pitch is almost non-existent. i think carlo should try a 4-4-2 with ronaldinho and beckham on the sides and pirlo and ambrosini in the middle, with kaka' supporting pato up top. obviously it would be a lopsided version of the 4-4-2, borderline christmas tree, but this day and age formations are all relative anyway. we'll see how things go this weekend vs. reggina. and lets not forget that we have the derby with inter merda in 2 weeks. that will be a tough one... but i'm optimistic that we can defeat them.

halftime right now, and we're playing ok. its what you would expect from us in a friendly.

ronaldinho is slowly getting into the game, he had some good runs in last half of the first half. flamini is playing in the middle (in pirlo's spot). inzaghi has had some chances, but he hasnt made the most of them.

thiago silva. this guy is a beast, he's got some fantastic balance. he will be an impressive defender for us in the coming years. hes got some great technique too, which is rare for most defenders. i think he is a great signing.

mattioni on the other hand isnt doing good at all. he is not working the right channel, he keeps cutting inside. most of his passes arent reaching their destination, and hes not pushing forward enough. but as it usually goes with fullbacks, its all about confidence. the poor guy seems nervous out there. i hope he can show more after the break.

antonini is doing a great job on the left, constantly beating his man when he wants. i don't see why favalli is picked over him, it makes no sense. hes good on both the right and the left, he should be our 2nd left back, not favalli.

at the end of the day, it just is a friendly, so who knows how much you can take from it. good run out for the boys i guess.

i don't think he will sell as many shirts as kaka, or even ronaldinho. those people that buy beckham shirts don't really care about the team he plays for, and if they already happen to have one beckham shirt, i doubt they will go and buy another just because he switched teams again.

if seedorf has another bad game this weekend, i am going to have to retire the avatar.

He'll still sell a reasonable amount but thats not where we'll be making our money in any case. He's already brought us a lot more exposure and we're actually benefiting from his US move. As long as we're able to be successful, we'll earn a lot of money through him.

I agree..
Becks wont sell too many jersey as what berlu expected...
Pato or Kaka will sell more....
but he'll bring many sponsorship not just for him but the endorsment for other players too...
he is going to great form at the moment but for how long???
he is an injury prone player....
when he got injured it will be long....very long....
i hope Carletto have other plan if that happenned....
having said that Milan have the best medical team in the world...
I hope he can sustained his form troughout the season....

hopefully we play better this week...
we do win matches but it wasn't pretty....
