With regard to the transfer shite, I'm not so sure on Roberto Ayala. Surely a bit too old now? If we don't act on getting anyone new (which we probably won't, don't ya know), recalling Andreolli to act as cover is something we must considered, but we probably won't even do that either. The Panucci situation is getting more fragile by the day and with him gone, can we honestly say we'd be safe making it through the second-half of the season with Loria as the only recognised centre-half as backup for Mexes and Go-on? What if, touch fecking wood, something major happened to one of those two? We probably won't act, but here's a few players to consider, completely of the top of my rather tired head:

• Cristian Zapata (may be costly, particularly given our relationship with Udinese, but worth it)
• Felipe (same as above, and think he's presently crocked)
• Manuel Da Costa (not getting much a look in at Fiorentina. Versatile)
• Simon Kjaer (making a name for himself at Palermo)
• Gonzalo Rodríguez (Argentinean dude at Villarreal)
• Lucio (has said he wants a new challenge)
• Barzagli (bring him back from Germaninanie?)
• Burdisso (I would take him, despite what the Interisti may say, he wouldn't be bad)

As for the Panucci situation, I have to say I'm all a bit taken aback by the whole episode. Just when you believe he has finally settled down at a club and in a city he can call home after more moves than an Inter striker on the dance floor, he pulls this shit from his well traveled shit bag. I think there certainly is more to it than simply not being selected for every game he has been fit. He was on the lookout for a new contract to secure himself for his remaining few playing years, but considering we're not the type of club to rap up negotiations with any sort of rapidness, plus his advancing years, he was never going to get an extension until at least close to the end of the season. He should of accepted that and get on with it. Then, as someone else pointed out earlier, having seen Juan (supposedly – was it confirmed?) sign a a new deal wouldn't help matters either, but you would expect Juan to be more of a priority considering his market value, but of course, Panucci probably didn't see it that way. And what sort of a man falls out with someone like Spalletti, the most humble and genuine of men you could find anywhere in the world of calcio? Its all a sad state of affairs and very disappointing from Panucci, especially the timing of it all.

Anyway, back to tonight, not a vintage performance by any means but good to extend our recent good form and continue our march back up the table. I guess we looked a bit tired, which is to be expected, I suppose, having played six games this month (or six games in 18 days). But good to get a win without stretching ourselves too much and without producing the magica.

Only one point off fourth place now, and we would be joined fourth if not for Milito's late equaliser against Milan. And good to have Il Capitano back, lasting nearly a full game. Only downside was the injury to Cassetti, lets hope its not as bad as it looked.

You can put that list away, Shield, because Panucci's going nofuckinwhere, if Cassetti's injury is as serious as it seems. Still looking for confirmation, but an expected 3 months (essentially the rest of the season)? Fuck me.

3 days to be efficient....that should be easy for a management that took a combined 300 days to complete the transfers of Mancini and Chivu to Inter.
