We sold Samuel cause we needed money, but i don't think that Samuel wanted to leave in the first place, no sure though.

Samuel did want to stay, but much like any big foreign star we sold him off when a big offer came in. The difference with the Samuel and Chivu departures, however, is that The Wall said that he could not join another Italian team as it would be difficult playing against the glorious giallorossi of Totti and co, and so went to Madrid, whereas CC didn't give two fucks, as was the opposite, in fact, turning down Real to join the Inter merda. Of course, footballers words are always to be taken with quite a large pinch of salt, and subsequently we seen Samuel return to Serie A in the Inter colours. I always liked Samuel, and he was one of my favourite Roma playes back in the day. Pity he's rotting on the bence now under the tactical genious that is Mancini. I could even envision the day when Walter returns to Roma, as he is not reaching his best in Milan. And when Samuel was dominating in the giallosrossi, he was the player I based myself on (in my head, anyway), when I play(ed) football. I was The Wall, oh yeah. These days though, its not so bad. We have a new wall in our defence, one twice as big and twice as mean as old SammyBoy. He is Mexes, and he will kill you. Forza Philippe, The New Wall.

And how about poor old Vincent Candela. Another former favourite of mine, and great Roma servant down the years. Long I will remember his never-ending running and passion and comittment everytime he played. Pity he never settled with a smaller club to finish out his playing career in some style. I say he be giving a job behind the scenes at Roma or something. Forza Vinny C.

i think this is the first season in 4 years where i havent come out with my official proclaimation that roma will win the scudetto
