if we win the title with 3 games to spare, and seedorf, favalli and [God forbid] beckham are still in the starting XI, carlo needs to go. but if he changes things around significantly, i wouldn't mind seeing him for another year. after all, its a results-based game, and the final results always come at the end. and there is no way in hell that berlu will fire carlo if he wins the scudetto.

flamini hasn't taken most of his chances this season, similar to gourcuff in the previous 2 seasons. he has only been decent, and as rob said, he doesn't seem to offer us much in the offensive department. i also think that hes quite easily to get past/cut inside because he closes an opponent down with such speed that as soon as he stops, he gives the opponent that small window of opportunity to get by him which always leads to him chasing the tail all over again. football is a game of centimeters, and i've noticed flamini being caught flat-footed or more than one occasion. maybe i'm just being to fastidious in the observation, but it happens every time he comes on, even as a sub. although i'd like to see more of him, if he's not good enough then hes simply not good enough. whatever qualities he possesses, i hope carlo can see them and utilize them into the teams' strategy, because flamini can turn into a quality player i think.

in regards to abbiati, i think he is in great form. hes pulling off remarkable saves and hes coming out of his box at the right times. everytime bologna had a corner yesterday, abbiati was out there to claim it. it was great to see. especially considering that kalac wouldn't leave his line for a ball crossed 3 yards away from it. its good to have a reliable gk after nearly 4 seasons. but i think it is a stop-gap solution and we might be in the market for a gk the season after the next.

in other great news, portsmouth are being linked with emerson... in the current transfer window. lets hope the deal goes through and we can send that asshole packing to where the sun don't shine.

FIFA agent Vincenzo Morabito has revealed that Emerson could depart AC Milan this week and join Premiershit club Portsmouth.

Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti left Emerson out of the squad for the trip to Bologna, allegedly due to a foot problem. There have been reports that English side Portsmouth are interested in luring the Brazilian to Fratton Park before transfer deadline day and that this could be the real reason as to why Emerson did not feature at the weekend.

Report: Mathieu Flamini And Manuel Pasqual Among Napoli's Transfer Targets
Napoli have targeted a trio of players to reinforce their side.

Napoli transfer guru Pierpaolo Marino is reported to be at work at present, despite denials from the club that any players will be joining during the winter transfer window.

The Partenopei's form has been dipping recently, as they have picked up a 2-1 loss to Chievo and 3-0 defeat to Roma in their last two Serie A matches.

According to Calciomercato, the club are after reinforcements for their five-man midfield. Udinese central midfielder Fernando Tissone appears to be Marino's first target. However, the southern Italian side have also thrown their hat in the ring for Mathieu Flamini.

Flamini has struggled to settle at Milan since his summer move from Arsenal and a loan deal, perhaps with an option for a permanent transfer could be in the works as Napoli look to add some ball-winners to their midfield.

Meanwhile, the club are still linked with Fiorentina's left wing-back Manuel Pasqual. However, Pasqual's agent recently announced he is unlikely to leave Cesare Prandelli's side before the end of the season.

Or we could exchange him for Santacroce and get another ball winner from somewhere...Its not like I said he was indispensable or anything...

Portsmouth have signed two central midfielders already today, so it seems unlikely that they will sign Emerson as well.
