Felipe Mattioni is a 20-year-old right-back who has been linked with a move to the Italian Serie A for the large part of the season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan have reached an agreement with Gremio for the player, which will see him remain in Milan for the next four seasons.

The player himself stands 177cm tall and weighs 72kg, and can play in the midfield as well as at the back. He has made 19 appearances for Gremio this term, and after it was announced that he has officially signed for Milan, his agent confirmed the following:

“Felipe is already in Italy and tomorrow he will undertake a medical in Milan.

“He has signed a contract for four and a half years and he can commence playing immediately,â€

Juventus are scouring South America for the next big thing after watching 19-year-old Alexandre Pato [pictured] blossom at rivals Milan.

According to Tuttosport, Renzo Castagnini, Juventus’ chief scout, is on his way to Caracas, Venezuela for the Sub 20, a talent rich youth tournament.

Castagnini attended the Sub 20 last year and discovered Edison Cavani. His club, Danubio, fixed his price at £5m, but Juventus were unwilling to take a chance on him.

Cavani has since joined Palermo while Juventus have changed their philosophy and are now willing to gamble on youth.

This year, the Bianconeri have their sights set on Dentinho, a 19-year-old Brazilian striker who plays alongside Ronaldo at Corinthians.

Real Madrid are also interested in his signature and have been quoted a price of £20m for the youngster’s services.

The Spanish giants have stalled, though, believing the player’s value overly inflated. Juventus are reportedly willing to join Real and bid for Dentinho should he become cheaper.

These exploits ensured that he was awarded the prestigious Ballon d’Or at the end of that year.

However, the time comes when all great players have to be replaced, and it is highly likely that Juventus will have to find themselves a new left midfielder this summer. Nedved’s contract is due to expire in June and, unless he reverses his decision, as he did last summer, the 36-year-old will finally hang up his boots for good.

So who should Juventus buy to replace the long-shot specialist? Below are a list of players who the Turin-club have been linked with over recent weeks…

Arjen Robben (Real Madrid) – Possibly the most skilful player in world football after Lionel Messi, but it is unlikely that Juventus could afford his transfer fee and wages, even if Madrid were willing to sell.

Franck Ribery (Bayen Munich) – Would be a major hit in Turin and Serie A but, once again, it would require a small fortune to prise him away from Bavaria. Perhaps the most ideal player to replace Nedved. Has the skill, creativity, vision, pace and, most importantly, the temperament to star in Italy.

Ryan Babel (Liverfekkin'wankscum) – Bags of potential, but he has flattered to deceive since joining Liverfekkin'wankscum from Ajax in 2007. Painfully inconsistent, and perhaps does not offer enough guarantees to be considered as Nedved’s heir.

Luka Modric (Spurs) – Definitely would be more suited to Serie A than the Premiershit, and may be a gamble worth taking. However, he would cost at least €20 million, unless of course Spurs get relegated, which is not impossible.

Stefano Mauri (Lazio) – Certainly could be available at the end of the season, but he is not good enough to replace Nedved. Barely even a regular for Lazio, and he has been in poor form for the last 18 months.

David Silva (Valencia) – The 23-year-old oozes class, and no matter now many times you watch him, you still can’t work out his style of play. A bid of around €25 million may be enough to take him to Turin, but there is a long history of Spanish players flopping in Italy.

Savio Nsereko (Brescia) – Shades of a young Robinho in this 19-year-old, who is tearing up defences in Serie B. The Uganda-born German youngster is surely a future star, but is he still a little too young to carry the mantle on Juve’s left wing?

Douglas Costa (Gremio) – Considered a phenomenon in Brazil, and the “new Ronaldinhoâ€

MILAN, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Gianluigi Buffon would leave Juventus if he was the subject of a "fantasy football bid" like AC Milan playmaker Kaka, the goalkeeper said on Saturday. Media reports said Premiershit Manchester City bid 110 million euros ($143 million) for Kaka and offered him unprecedentedly high wages. However, the Brazilian said he rejected the offer because of his love for Milan.

Italy goalkeeper Buffon has also been linked with City, the world's richest club after their takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group last year.

"I am a man of football. I know you have to do your sums and I know teams are also businesses. Therefore, if a fantasy football bid came in I would be ready to go," the 30-year-old told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I would also do it to relieve a justifiable embarrassment from a club like Juventus, to whom I owe so much."

Buffon, who was close to joining Milan two years ago, questioned whether Kaka was ever going to accept City's bid.

"It was a bit of theatre rather than a choice. Clubs like Juventus, Milan and Inter, if they want to do a deal they don't publicise it before concluding it," he said.

Buffon has been out for three months with a leg injury but returns for second-placed Juventus in Saturday's home game with Fiorentina.
