Watched the game last night in a rather drunken state so didn't feel like commenting on it afterward, but was very disappointed with our second-half performance and our failure to bounce back after conceding such an early equaliser. This is a game we should of won, but whatever happened during the half-time break needs to be looked at and driven out of this team. Maybe we thought it would be as easy as a light jog around the training pitch and that all the hard work was done in the first-half, but conceding two goals in such a short space of time so soon after the break is not normal and should not happen in any circumstances. Could you imagine Inter or Man Utd or any other well organised side conceding two goals like that? Unlikely. And it shouldn't happen with us if we want to go places.

Still, a few positives all the same. The LitM is really maturing and growing as a player and when the chips were down and he was the main man upfront he didn't disappoint and had a wonderful game. We seen De Rossi back to his ultimate dominating best and he was a monster out there, and the whole team did show good spirit not to crumble altogether after going 2-1 down, at least. Good to have Aquilani and Pizarro back as well and making an impact, hopefully they can regain full fitness soon.

And I wouldn't be too hard on either Mexes or Taddei Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Mexes got skinned by what is the best young player in the world right now and Taddei wasn't exactly at full fitness himself, so we have to give him some allowance for that. And look at the player rating below, they think Mexes was our best defender:

Yes I suppose. Although you could say it might be more productive if his striking partner learnt to shoot, score, beat a defender, have a good first touch, have vision, and you know, all round play like he's actually a professional footballer.

Totti has already returned to light training, and is recovering quicker than expected, fair play to him. Menez, however, had to train by himself and is still suffering from 'muscular fatigue', whatever the feck that means exactly (don't say "his muscles are tired"), and is very doubtful for Wednesday. Okaka is also likely out with a thigh strain. Cassetti is also suffering from the knock which saw him come in the Milan game but should recover. And with Vucinic and Mexes suspended, our options are limited.
