I think we're all waiting to see if Sheva and Beckham can work together as well as is hoped. Watching Golden Balls interviewed on Sky Italia yesterday, I couldn't help smiling yet shaking my head...the words came out well enough, in English of course, about how impressed he was with the entire Milan set up, the professionalism of the players and coaching staff, then adding he loved hard work and was enjoying the rigorous training schedule...

Seeing Paolo Maldini also interviewed just days ago and commenting on Beckham not having trained for 2Ã‚Â½ months, I couldn't help wondering if he really cares any more about proving his words...despite il grande Paolo's assurances the gold hasn't worn thin on the balls!

we've got a friendly with hamburger in dubai on tuesday morning. it should be on at around 9am central. i'll try to put links up before the game.

lets hope pato continues his good form, and that nobody gets injured.

Beckham's interpretation of his position is interesting. He's playing at right back when Milan get forward - that is, he's sitting back alongside the centre-backs watching one or two others run. And then in defence he gets himself neatly onto the wrong side of the ball so he can wait for the others to win it back.

shield, i just said he looks good. it has nothing to do with how well he's playing, which actually is horrible. who would've thought that he is starstruck...

beckham is probably our worst player on the pitch. golden balls can't offer us much besides his long balls. even then, pato and kaka' are the only ones fast enough to chase them down. even in tight spaces hes made mistakes on the ball that have led to dangerous counterattacks.

but the 4-3-1-2 won't work if seedorf isn't in the lineup. we've got no players to move between the lines, and ronaldinho is horrible out there.

the only bright spot is pato, this kid is unbelievable. and Maldini, hes dominated in the air today.
