Reports: Michael Owen To Join Inter In January, Didier Drogba In June
David Beckham may not be the only Englishman to show off his skills at San Siro next month, as speculation regarding the Inter striker position intensifies.

So far this season in Serie A, Inter coach Jose Mourinho has struggled to find adequate support up-front for star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swede has bagged 10 league goals, but the next highest scoring forward for the Nerazzurri is Julio Cruz with two, while Victor Obinna and Adriano have found the net once.

It is expected that the one player brought to the club in January will be a striker to partner Ibrahimovic, and over the past few days Newcastle United frontman Michael Owen has been heavily linked.

The Corriere dello Sport today claims that Owen, whose contract at St JamesÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ Park runs out in the summer, could arrive next month in an exchange deal, with the Inter-owned David Suazo, currently on loan at Benfica, moving the other way.

This would satisfy Mourinho until the end of the season, when it is likely he will be re-united with ChelseaÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Didier Drogba in time for the start of the 2008/09 campaign.

Michael Owen Won't Leave Newcastle United For Inter - Report

The Toon's star striker will not abandon his struggling side to return to the continent...

According to The Daily Mail, Newcastle United captain Michael Owen is set to reject any approach Inter Milan might make for him this month.

Intense speculation over Owen's future has sprung up after he pulled out of contract talks with the Magpies, instead postponing negotiations until the end of the season.

While he will be a free agent in the summer if he doesn't pen a new deal, a whole host of clubs have expressed interest in signing the 29-year-old before the end of January.

Manchester City, Everton and Liverfekkin'wankscum have all been heavily linked with the England exile in recent weeks, but now it is the Serie A frontrunners who are thought to be leading the chase.

But Owen is not at all interested in shipping off to Italy, it is understood, as his last and only move abroad culminated in a frustrating stint at Real Madrid.

The former Anfield hero did little wrong during his stay at the Bernabeu - he boasted the best goals-to-minutes ratio in La Liga during the 2004/05 campaign - but a lack of first-team opportunities saw him leave after just one season.

Thus, it seems certain that Owen will remain in England, but will he still be plying his trade at St James' Park next term?

ROME, Jan 2 (Reuters) - Nemanja Vidic should be given at least a two-match ban for his red card in the Club World Cup final and miss Manchester United's Champions League ties against Inter Milan, the Serie A club's coach Jose Mourinho said.

The Serbia defender was sent off for elbowing striker Claudio Bieler in the face in United's 1-0 win over Liga de Quito and will serve his punishment in European competition with UEFA yet to decide the length of any ban.

Mourinho also expressed surprise that England forward Wayne Rooney had been cleared of allegedly stamping on midfielder Kasper Risgard during United's 2-2 draw with AaB Aalborg last month.

"I was amazed that Rooney was not banned," the Portuguese coach told Friday's La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I would be amazed if Vidic did not get at least two matches, which could be too little for a gesture like that in a match seen by the whole world."

Mourinho repeated that he is happy to have been drawn against United in the first knockout round.

"I wanted them because I don't see a great difference between Manchester, Bayern (Munich), Liverfekkin'wankscum or Barcelona and, given that I love pressure and the excitement of the win-or-die match, I prefer to have the challenge of the European and world champions."

He dismissed media speculation that the Serie A title-holders are interested in signing forward Michael Owen from Newcastle United.

"I never thought of him," he said. "Over the last year he has had lots of major injuries and now he is not the Owen we knew."

Inter Prepare Contract For Marcos Angeleri
The Nerazzurri look set to sign the Argentinian defender, with a contract soon to be offered.
According to reports, Inter officials have prepared a four-year contract for right-back Marcos Angeleri who is close to leaving Estudiantes on a free transfer.

Rumours of the player arriving during the current transfer window seem false however, as the 25-year-old is expected to join the Nerazzurri in June, with his deal earning him around Ã¢â€šÂ¬3million per season.

Angeleri performed well for Estudiantes last season, attracting the attention of AtlÃƒÂ©tico Madrid, and another Italian side, Parma.

Angeleri made his professional debut with Estudiantes in 2002. Since then he has become one of the key players at the club. He played a fundamental role as Estudiantes reached the final of the last seasonÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Copa Sudamericana.

Inter Milan After Luis Fabiano?

According to The Daily Mail, Inter will compete with Chelsea for the signing of striker Luis Fabiano from Sevilla.

It has been known for a while that Chelsea are quite interested in signing Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano from Sevilla. According to the latest rumours coming from England, the Blues are prepared to spend 20 million pounds to strike a deal with the club from Andalusia.

However, according to The Daily Mail, there is another party interested in the player. "[Inter coach Jose] Mourinho identified Fabiano as one of his January transfer targets," it says on the newspaper's headline.

Of course, the British tabloid knows that any news about Mourinho sells, so whether this is true or to be taken with a grain of salt is up for debate.

The Inter coach is allegedly interested in reinforcing his attack, considering that the only striker to have scored with any regularity this season has been Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a player the team seems to depend too much on.

Julio Cruz and Hernan Crespo aren't getting any younger, Mario Balotelli still seems too young to handle the pressure, while Adriano is still having all sorts of off-the-pitch discipline problems.

Dacourt seeks Inter exit - French midfielder weighing up offers from England and Italy

Olivier Dacourt expects to secure a move away from Inter Milan during the January transfer window.

The combative French midfielder has fallen out of favour at the Serie A giants, with coach Jose Mourinho unwilling to hand him regular football.

As a result, the 34-year-old admits the time has come for him to seek a new challenge elsewhere.

The former Leeds and Everton man has revealed that he has offers from England and Italy to consider, with a move to Bolton widely touted in recent weeks.

"I have started to think about a departure," Dacourt told RMC radio station.

"It is the coach's choice. I am on nodding terms with Mourinho - that is all.

"His decisions have been difficult to take. I was in the starting XI before his arrival.

"I told myself it was up to me to change his mind. He doesn't seem to have faith in me, though, and I have noted that.

"I have propositions from Italy and England. Not from France. But we will have to see what happens.

"I want to play and have fun, which is essential at this stage of my career."
