he's pretty unlucky. One day he has a cold, the other he has neck problems. The list goes on and on. One things for sure we need to strengthen our squad in January. Getting gallas would be great. It would give us a lot of depth at the cb position. Gigi, cammo, and trez will be key to our success next year, all of them need to come back and stay healthy.

Ryan Babel, Rafael Van der Vaart, Joaquin and Yuri Zhirkov are also targets

Silva- Great, but probably too hard to get.

Malouda- Not the player he was at Lyon. Might be worth a gamble if the price was right. Wages would be high, though.

Babel- Talented, but a bit one dimensional. More suited to playing wide in a 4-3-3.

Van der Vaart- Would be great, but doesn't really fit the 4-4-2.

Joaquin- Too injury prone and better on the right than the left.

Zhirkov- Good player and attainable. Possibly the best option, all things considered.

I second your posting, red. Don't know much about Zhirkov, but from what I've seen and read he is a good option. You have already mentioned the significant flaws of the other options.

Sorry, Lomba, I was just taking the piss - suggesting that the players who play wide up top for you at the moment all share a pretty high 'don't-give-a-shit' factor. If it wasn't enough signing Mancini and Quaresma in the same summer, Balotelli seems to have been taking lessons on how to give the greatest sulks and lazy-arse performances of all.
