Yes Tuna, Brighi is critical to the formation. It's great to see him breaking out of his shell this year and really blossoming.

Jamil, we were quite solid in the first-half and really should of been 2-0 up at the half-time break, which would of made the second-half a completely different affair. It was a our performance and attitude in the second-half and how we seemed to be not to bothered with killing the game off and eventually letting Cagliari back into the match which was the problem for me. Of course, not having our usual midfield went some way to Cagliari having more of the possession and more of the play in that second-half, when they came at us hard and fast and the likes of Cici and Cassetti became exposed. Brighi is an important figure in this system and it will be interesting to see if Aquilani is able to play in that role if needed and how he performs there (as in can he cover the defensive responsibilities like Brighi or Perrotta), and if not then where exactly he and Pizarro and Taddei are going to play when everyone is fit. If we are are to stick with this formation then I wonder if Spalletti will look to bring in another defensive 'ball-winner' type midfielder, someone perhaps ala Barusso or Faty (how have they being playing, if at all, does anyone know?), or someone new, to help shore up the defensive side of our midfield should DDR, Brighi or Perrotta ever be missing. Anyway, yesterdays game was important for proving we have the mental spirit and determination to fight back and rescue victory from the jaws of defeat in a game where we haven't performed the best and were expected to win.

are saying that Tonetto, Pizarro, Taddei (long-term), Aquilani, Doni, Panucci and Juan all missed training today and are doubtful for the Coppa game this Wednesday. Perrotta is also suspended, and Totti may be rested, so it will certainly be a chance for fringe/youth players to get a chance to shine (apparently D'Alessandro has been doing well in training). Should be enough to beat them lot anyway.

Ed, I may be headed to Dublin in February. I'm still figuring it out, but a trip with some friends was just proposed to me. I would be arriving on Feb. 13 and leaving on the following Tuesday. Do you have any hotel recommendations? Nice and reasonably priced is the idea.
