Adriano To Wave Goodbye To Inter Tonight?

Reports in the peninsula allege that the embattled striker is set to take off for Brazil this evening and there could be no return flight this time around…

Adriano did not make the Inter Milan squad that will face Chievo Verona this afternoon; officially due to an injury problem, according to the Nerazzurri camp.

Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic To Move To Inter Milan?

According to Novantesimo.it, reigning Italian champions Inter Milan could sign Serbian defender Branislav Ivanovic as early as January.

There has been speculation on Ivanovic for several weeks now as it has emerged that the Serbian international defender would like to try himself at a club other than Chelsea. This despite the fact that he is more or less a regular under Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari.

But it has now been reported that the player’s agent and Italian powerhouse Inter Milan’s representatives shall meet in London this week to discuss the situation. The player’s agent Vlado Borozan has stated:

“There is strong interest shown by Inter, and on Wednesday we are going to talk with Chelsea, before speaking with Inter later in the week. At the moment, I’m not sure what Chelsea would like to do, however I don’t see many possible solutions.â€

The big Swede spoke of his pleasure after a stunning display in Inter’s 4-2 win against Chievo.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice in the last 11 minutes to seal a shaky 4-2 win for Serie A leaders Inter Milan at home to bottom side Chievo this afternoon.

The champions moved nine points clear at the top in anticipation of the game between Juventus and Milan, both joint second, who meet in Turin later on this evening.

Inter To Offer Chelsea Adriano For Drogba - Report

Current coach of Italian giants Inter, Jose Mourinho, could be ready to offer his former club an out of favour striker for one of his old favourites...

According to a report in the British tabloid the Sun, Inter coach Jose Mourinho could be prepared to offer Brazilian striker Adriano to old club Chelsea in exchange for Didier Drogba.

The Italian champions only recently denied rumours that Adriano had turned up to training drunk and that the tests he was undergoing were for a minor knock he had sustained.

Furthermore, Mourinho is reported to have told the press that he is prepared to give the 26-year-old a second chance.

However, following Inter's recent Serie A victory over Chievo, Mourinho stated: "In Adriano’s place, I’d consider whether it’s better to stay here with this image or change scenery."

The former Porto boss was responsible for taking Drogba to Chelsea and has been linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international since arriving at the Giuseppe Meazza.

While Drogba himself had been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, he recently insisted he was happy with the London-based outfit and has no plans to leave in the immediate future.

Inter dismiss Drogba speculation

Inter Milan have dismissed reports linking them with a move for Didier Drogba as "media speculation". The 30-year-old Chelsea striker has been a peripheral figure for Luiz Felipe Scolari's side this season, struggling with injury and suspension. Drogba was alleged to have met Inter's sporting director Marco Branca in November but he says they have no plans to sign the Ivory Coast international.

"There's no Drogba dream," Branca said on the club's official website. "Inter already have numerous strikers that cover every role. "Drogba has been at Chelsea for many years and is doing well there. We have our strikers that are also doing well here."

The improved form of Nicolas Anelka has meant Drogba has been forced to play second fiddle to the France striker, with Scolari reluctant to play the pair in the same starting line-up. Anelka has bagged 16 goals in 23 games so far this season, while Drogba has found the net only twice in 12 appearances.

A move to Inter would mean the former Paris St Germain striker would be reunited with former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, who signed Drogba from Marseille in 2003 for a fee believed to be in the region of £24m.
